Robin Hood

Cornell John to be in new Narnia movie!

I just found this out on NarniaWeb.com, and I want to know what y'all think. Has anyone here seen him as Javert? I would love to see a video clip or hear something of his now that he is in the movie. He is to play Glenstorm the centuar, and I can hardly wait! Smile

I'd love to hear your opinions!

God bless,

That's so funny! From Javert to a centaur...Imagine Javert dancing around in meadows holding a harp! Oh dear.
To be honest, he was VERY unpopular as Javert, and I have to say he is my least favourite out of all that I've heard, however I don't think he is as bad as many people made him out to be. On the other hand though, he was very good as Crown in Porgy and Bess, so maybe it was just the wrong part.

Having seen him play Javert I can say he was not good! He was weak opposite the amazing John Owen Jones and I was very disappointed with his boring performance.

Oh. God. I didn't like him as Javert; he was weak, boring and monotonous. I found his acting 2-Dimensional. Hmm... It'll be interesting to see him play a film role though. I probably won't see the film anyway. Especially with Lewis and what a world he evokes, I'd like to keep that personal. Harry Potter I watched simply because I had to see how Radcliffe acted in the role that I should've got! Haha.

Will Cornell John express the entire characterisation through his magical right hand though, huh? That's what I need to know.

Olly, did you audition for Harry? What can you share if you did?
olly

No, I didn't audition. I was very close to though! I got the times and dates of all the open auditions, but I don't know why I didn't end up going. Hmm...

LOL, you can't complain that it's the role you should have got if you didn't audition!

He cracked on a lot of the notes, not good! And he had huge hands, scary.

Haha I didn't mean it in a literal sense, or maybe slightly. Pseudo-literal, perhaps. Everyone told me I'd make a perfect Harry Potter (especially in my younger days), so I suppose it's envy slipping through my initial remark... Kicking myself for not auditioning and having a burning desire to act it.
