Fantine

Dutch cast album has been released!

And I was fortunate enough to be at this event Very Happy
As you might know I went to see Les Mis for the second time yesterday evening. It was awesome and the finale had ended when Paul de Leeuw (a very famous comedian and TV personality here in the NL) came on stage. Camera's were flashing everywhere, TV crews, etc. He gave a little speech and handed out the first CD to Rene van Kooten (Valjean).
It was rush hour at the shop, but I got one!
Unfortunately it's only one CD and it misses a great deal. I'm not so pleased with that (especially since it costs 21 euros). It misses the Confrontation, A Little Fall of Rain (how could they!?) and the oboe solo. It also cuts a great deal from the bishop scene and the finale starts with 'Now you are here..." etc. So that sucks. But the quality is stunning and the performers are superb. I like the orchestrations. I would have bought this CD anyway since this is my cast. So yes I've spent 21 euros on one CD but I did get some of the cast to sign it Wink

Maybe I can be persuaded to upload three songs of choice.... Wink
The Pirate King

I've been following this (via auto-translated Dutch sites), and am interested in importing it once it's available online.

I know I'd like to hear BHH, or ODM, or ECAET...

...twenty one euros?

(by the way, to convert it for the Americans, that's about ... $32 or so)

Wow. That's coool you got the cast to sign it Wink

I wish I could go see this, but I can't. That's so awesome Fantine!

I wish I could get my hands on a copy! Although, they seem to have cut out some of the best parts.

Anyway. I'd definitely like to hear One Day More. Also, perhaps ATEOTD, and DYHTPS.

Ooh $32 and it's only one CD? What a rip. But I'd love to hear "One Day More" as well.
