Eponine outdates?

Does anyone know if there are any set outdates for Mandy Bruno? I've heard her and not quite pleased with her...and since I want to see Les Mis again, this time with Lea instead of Daphne, I was hoping to catch Megan McGinnis. Anyone know anything?

I don't think you need to worry. I've heard an audio of Mandy Bruno as well, and she truly is completely awful, but I also saw Lea in March and thought her performance was completely incredible. Even if you end up seeing Mandy, the experience seeing Lea (especially if the last Fantine you saw was DRV) doing such a wonderful job with a great role is worth sitting through a bad Eponine.

I heard that audio too.

I don't know what's worse - the horrific, thin sounding 3 piece orchestra (no, I'll never shut up about that, lol) or Mandy's terrible rendition. Ick.
The Very Angry Woman

I don't believe Mandy has any scheduled days off, but even if she is out, you can't guarantee you'll se Megan as Eponine -- remember that Marissa McGowan covers her, too.

hmmm, sounded like the fate of the good cast members are becoming similar to the french students that one by one died at the barricades.

At least Lea is still there.

Oh honey, I wish I knew. *wince* I've seen her three times and she's just as bad live as she sounds on audio.

If/when you see it again, grab Megan or Marissa at the stage door and ask if there's any set date one of them will be on. They're both quite good as Eponine--I've only seen Megan, but I've heard nothing but good things about Marissa, and she was a lovely Cosette too.

Are you kidding me? I can think of handfuls of people who've had similar fates on the 3nt and prior Broadway casts. It's just that no one really paid attention then...

hehehe, you're right.

Megan or Marissa - either one, though I've only heard Megan's On My Own.

I'm in the city May 29 seeing Legally Blonde I think, or 110 in the Shade depending on rush - so I'll stop by there and definitely ask them about it.

Celia was my first Eponine and I just loved her...I wish she would come back.

So yea...thanks for the help =)

Bumping!

I just heard a rumor on livejournal that auditions were held in late May for Eponine. Hm...

Personally, I'm sort of sad. Unlike everyone else, I actually kind of liked Mandy. I thought she had too many mannerisms and she indicated sometimes, but over all, I really warmed up to her.

It wasn't a rumor; they actually were held. It was a precaution in case Mandy wasn't able to continue as long as they had hoped. I don't think it's been determined if she'll leave early or not.

I saw it Thursday, and Megan McGinnis playes Eponine and did a wonderful job. Actually, Valjean was played by Jeff Kready, and although I was upset about missing Alexander Gemignani, he did a good job. Javert's understudy Drew Sarach (I think that is his name but I'm too lazy to go check my playbill to be sure.) was also very good. He was very manical, which I liked.

Oh yes, the Broadway revival is very much with the angry Javerts. Norm's Javert shouted a lot, Drew's Javert is batshit insane in a mostly good way, and Robert Hunt's Javert is quite intense. I like my Javerts more stoic, personally, but it's all a matter of taste.

Same here, which is why Richard Kinsey is a God.

Stephen Bishop wasn't too shabby either.
Fantine

You would have loved Michael McCarthy then Wink

I like a bit of insanity in my Javerts. But not too much.
