Highlights CD

Hey,
I'll have to do my English oral tomorrow, about Les Mis, thanks for the article Wink
Anyway, I'll get extra points if I bring things that have to do with the subject, so I want to bring a Highlights cd with highlights and songs from various English recordings and give that to my teacher. Which do you think are best to put in?
I own the following english recordings:
- CSR
- TAC
- OLC
- 21st Anniversary Concert for the BBC on 8th October 2006

I'll definitely put Stars in from the 21stAnn., because I love HansPeter Janssens, but do any of you have suggestions?
Thanks!
Moci

I've had a play around on itunes to see what could be put onto one CD and I'd do it as:

What Have I Done?- OLC
At the End of the Day- OLC
I Dreamed A Dream- TAC
Who Am I?- TAC
Fantine's Death (Come to Me)- TAC
The Confrontation- TAC
Master of the House- TAC
Stars- BBC
Red and Black- OLC
Do You Hear the People Sing- CSR
I Saw Him Once/In My Life/A Heart Full of Love- OLC
One Day More- TAC
On My Own- TAC
A Little Fall of Rain- TAC
Drink With Me- OLC
Bring Him Home- OLC
The Final Battle- CSR
Javert's Suicide- TAC
Empty Chairs at Empty Tables- OLC
Epilogue- TAC

That'd come to 79 minutes and 33 secs, which should go onto one CD. I had to sacrifice certain versions of songs that'd be my preference to fit it all on and to avoid having repeated parts (they all seem to track the musical interludes between the actual songs differently) although you could probably get a bit more on (I was trying to fit Castle on A Cloud from the OLC) if you could be bothered to chop applause off the TAC tracks. The way I did it was just to take the track how it appears on the CD.

WOW. Amazing. Thank you so much. I'm gonna do it this way, cut some applaus of and get Castle On A Cloud from OLC on it as well.

Thanks again!!! Very Happy

What Moci said. Good luck! :]

Doesn't John Owen-Jones sing Bring Him Home on the 21st Anniversary concert? Pick him instead of Colm on the OLC.

I tried it, it's a slower tempo- pretty much a minute longer. Plus I don't reckon that it's JOJ's best performance- his last note sounds like he's really forcing it to keep it going. I seem to remember that he'd been ill and missing a few shows before the recording, but I might be wrong.

Thanks for your reply, Moci. And of course, all the others, thanks.
I just had my oral and it went quite well. Teacher absolutely loooooved the cd Smile And she said I did really well. English is not my first language, noticable, because I said "leaf of bread" instead of "loaf of bread" Confused
Anyway, I think I know what my mark is by monday or tuesday. I'll let you know, and thanks again!
