I've found something DIVINE:

And this one is very special, too:

Mmmm. Maybe...
Quique

LOL.

Now if only someone would post vids of the travesty that was the Korean production of Evita.

Possibly one of the weirdest things I've seen! Posted on JOJ's twitter!

And oh, look at this:

I laughed so hard at the way Enjolras moves. XD

I've seen that game before. Awesome.

I'd love a copy!

I want that game so badly! They should insert something like this into that 'game of the book' thing Laughing

are they supposed to scream like that at the end?
riverdawn

And here is a Hebrew version of Empty Chairs at Empty Tables, sung by Har'el Squa'at, who almost won the Israeli version of Idol one year. It's not, as far as I know, from an actual production of Les Mis, but still interesting.

The translation of the lyrics is quite beautiful, by the way, although due to the length of the word "tables" in Hebrew they had to give up on the chairs. Just Empty Tables in this version.

Come on, I don't think the Korean cast was that bad!
kemathenga

Thank you, riverdawn, that's beautiful (I love Hebrew ALTHOUGh I had to learn it at university Wink ).

And as for the Korean Cast - well, I do love this performance. They swing the red flag as if they meant it Wink in the second one and the Thnardier Waltz is just great. I mean, look at Valjean giving Cosette a peck on the cheek ...

The Korean cast itself wasn't bad at all, actually.

But the recording was a travesty with its synth orchestra amateurishly joined with track clippings of instrumental sections from the Complete Symphonic Recording. XD

So cute!

^ Omg, that totally made my day. XD

Their singing is pretty good too!

It's not exactly youtube but I like it, especially the first (old) one.

Holy crap! I've played that game! Shocked It took me forever to figure out the controls. (I know I have them written down somewhere... Confused )
Quique

Some of you have probably already seen these but I just discovered them and am beside myself with happiness!!!

For one, being completely in love with the original production, I've always been fascinated by the brilliant set design but clear, detailed photographs and video of the Les Mis set have proven to be very elusive for as long as I can remember...until now. The first four or five videos on this former Duisburg Gavroche's channel features some of the most breathtaking views of Napier's set designs. Beautiful!!

Here's an overall, wide shot of the whole set brightly illuminated: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dVgc9dn8XlU&feature=related#t=1m10s

There are 25, 10 minute videos up. They are like an amateur documentary on the Gavroche's rehearsals to opening night and features some crystal clear, gorgeous onstage scenes.

Here's my favorite: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WFAsTIJARcI

Funny, it never fails to surprise me just how slowly the lights fade at finale's end. I get reminded of it every time I see the show and this video is like almost being there! They really do capture that essence of seeing the show live--the surreal theatricality of the show's 'look' with its beautiful amber and blue lighting on that grey set. Omg, so, so...

*die*

Hey, Quique, that's nice. I normally can't watch Duisburg-vids with a dry eye because the german lyrics sound so ridiculous. You opened my eyes to other aspects of the performance. Thanx. Very Happy

I just noticed that all my favorite TAC-videos have vanished from youtube. Warner Music is having a spring cleaning Crying or Very sad

From the Les Mis documentary, showing large chunks of "One Day More" from the original Oslo production (which was, in my opinion, the best to play in Norway to date).

From a semi-professional Les Mis production in Lillestrm, Norway. I saw it and was very impressed. Orchestra was a bit thin, but they had a great cast, and professional costumes and especially designed sets. The bishop in this clip (Christian Ranke) has a gorgeous voice, and there's a snippet of "What have I done" there too.

"One day more" from the same Lillestrm production. Alas, the sound seems a bit out-of-sync with the video, but nothing major. Valjean is Stephen Brandt-Hansen, Cosette is Reidun Sther, Enjolras is Sigurd Sele. Same lyrics as the 1988 clip overneath.

Laughing I love the Korean Do You Hear the People Sing with all that vicious flag waving (they were handling those flags like lethal weapons XD)

If you have listened to this 10 year-old girl's I Dreamed A Dream, you may find that "cute" is not always the right word to describe a talented singing child - she looks as if she has gone through what all Fantine has experienced when singing the song.

p.s., I searched the link and did not find it being posted before.
