Yes, especially Cosette's costume, that is why I am not too fond of that one. The rest of the costumes, though I think are pretty good.
The Very Angry Woman

Mme. Thnardier looks like an Easter Egg.

Wow! Very Happy Well done for getting the part! Very Happy Applause
Lazarus (Adam G)

Cosette looks a wee bit like Shirley Temple.
Aimee

It's interesting to see a production with new costume design. I agree the hat looks too late in period, but I like the fact you had some posed pics, all too often all you are left with after a show is a bunch of fuzzy images.

Cograts on the role too.
smokeyspotlight

hmmm. Well I'm sure you all had lots of fun!
Fantine

I actually quite like the costumes Smile
olly

I like the costumes, except for Cosette's. Also, the picture with Javert, Valjean and Fantine I'm guessing is 'Fantine's Death'; I would have dressed Fantine up in pure white for symbolism. However, other than that, I like the costumes!

Yes, your right. At that time, my white nightgown was having some technical difficulties..our costume ladies were going away at it with the sewing machine. So I had to pose for that picture in my working costume. It wasn't a big deal because we were also scheduled to have a picture of the Epilogue, with me, Valjean and Eponine. And I would have my white nightgown on there..but our Valjean left for an audition before our photographer could get that picture..which reeeeally sucks. I was actually reaaally upset we didnt get a photo of me in the legandary white nightgown. Oh well.
beck

Here. Me and (half of) Matthew, our Valjean ..getting some last minute tips before the show.
Lilmzmelvin

Wow! Well done! There really cool!
beck

UPDATEEEEEE
i didnt realize untill just recently that someone had taken some very good (not fuzzy!) pictures of our cast during performances. theres alot of them, and most are good quality, better than the ones i put up earlier. take a look!!

That's so cool! I don't actually think the costumes are really all that important--if the cast is good enough, the costumes won't even matter! But most everyone looks like their part, which is good.
Milleh

That looks awesome Very Happy Take it you all had fun

My mate is doing the school edition at our local theatre, is that what you performed ? If so, what was it like ?

Yeah we did the school edition. I found there werent any big big differences between original recordings i had heard, and the school edition. There are a couple lines cut out.
For example: In the song "Lovley Ladies", and old woman attempts to buy a chain that Fantine is wearing, and Fantine sells it. Fantine also sells her hair to the old woman, all in attempt to provide money for her child. The part where the old woman buys the chain is in the broadway show, but not in the school addition. Also, in Fantine's death, Fantine has three paragraphs before Valjean enters, but in the school addition, one is cut out. And a paragrpah is cut out in Fantine's arrest. (I obviously know all of the edits in Fantine's scenes..haha those are the only scenes i really payed attention to, considering I was Fantine) Also, the school addition doesnt have the Confrontation between Valjean and Javert..we added that into our show though, we loved that scene too much to not do it.

Anyway so those are the only edits i know of really..I know there are more though..I just dont know where. But as you can see, they arnt HUGGE edits, just a paragraph here and there are taken out.
beck

wow, talking about les miz again after five months since our shows, i miss it. and i keep thinking of things i would have done differently. aw..now i'm sad haha Sad
Milleh

Awwwwww don't be sad. Just think of all the memories and hwo much you enjoyed it Very Happy

Thanks for that, I really want to go see it as I've seen the West End version. My friends who are in it told me I should have audtitioned but in the actual youth group there are people I don't like...so I'll watch hehe

Yepp. I remember because before a rehearsal, our Valjean and Javert came in together holding a piece of paper (with the confrontation lyrics on it) convincing the directors to put it in the show. Soon after that our music director transposed it into the music.
To be sure though, i'll try to find my script and make sure.
Anne1doug

do u have n e more pix of gavroche??
beck

Uhhh I've got two. I think one of them is on that website link I gave before. But here they are Smile

Javert and Gavroche.

what_the_heck013

I really like the "look" of the actors. Not their costumes, but their faces. Those who cast the show did well. I also love Cossette's hat.

It was indeed cut. Our school also added it into the show (illegally of course) because there was a former graduate with perfect pitch who listened to the recording and transcribed the entire thing.(he also came in useful to add There's No Business Like Show Business as the opener of Annie Get Your Gun back when the revival script was not available).

I like the ironic misspelling of "edition."

And yes, it's cut, although more than a few productions have illegally put it back in.

Why is that so hard to believe? They made a LMSE; it only goes downhill from there.

Hahaha.
Milleh

Saying that tho, it makes it easier for some kids to perform it.

Yes, not much is cut out, but it cuts the actual show down with getting all the important bits and songs in it.

I've never seen the school edition, but will be seeing it next year hopefully and will be able to decide then.

Not causing arguement but once I have seen LMSE, then I can comment properly and my opinion may have changed.
