Les Miz for first time in Portugal!!Hi there  people, this is Alexis...I dont know if I'm allowed to tell you this, but I think I am so here I go: Les Miserables is gonna be performed for first time ever in Portugal, and right in Island of Madeira (which is an island near Morrocco but belongs to Portugal). The MADs organization (Madeira Amateur Dramatic Society) is gonna organize it in April, they might be called Amateur in name, but in my opinion they're very good at acting, I could assist to my colleagues there and they do this very well, unfortunatelly I am probably the most inexperient of all them (the one who knows less about acting XD), but well, we got to learn at least slowly right? (I'll be playing Grantaire btw).
Everyone, what do you think of these news? (Don't know if they'll put the show in youtube, I wish they would do it, but I doubt they will -.-)

...Portugese, I assume. It's already been performed in Brazil, so there's a Portugese translation.

I think they got the performance rights because if they did not they would never perform it I think, and the language is NOT portuguese, it is in English

Because we do every musical in English, and there are English people integrated in this organization (including the organizers) so if we did in Portuguese they would never understand the songs.

In regard to the language issue. Isn't the target audience what matters? or is your audience mainly English?

Well, Madeira is full of tourists, so yeah thats another reason why Les Miserables is in english here

Well, I do believe its a version that was made in UK in the beginning, all this because the costumes come from England but well...I dont care if it was in UK or not...I just want to have fun and I'm surelly having it at least for now , thanks for the good luck Aimee.

Confirmed!! It's an official performance, and for those who still doubt, they can check on Wikipedia, it's already registered there
Yesterday, I talked with one of my mates about the pub I made here, she was probably referring to this post, 'cause I don't remember making this in any other place...and if you think I did it wrongly, then sorry...I just want this to be well announced so that more people will know about the show.
