While we're in an orgy of clip-sharing and foolhardy generosity, I'll be willing to send clips of... pretty much any LM cast recording you can name. I don't have the four most recent Japanese ones or any of the ones that were only sold in theaters, and I only have a few clips of the Israeli cast, but the other eighteen?

Yeah.

Clips only plz. If you want full recordings we can arrange a trade.

This is probably a result of finals week addling my brains and I'll wake up next Tuesday going "oh my god, what have I done?" So get yer clips before my sanity returns.
digitalxdoll

Do you have the Israeli cast singing One day more?

I'd love that if you could.
thanks.

I'm still seeking OMO by both Natlie Toro and Catherine Brunell. Also REALLY want to hear Amanda Salmon if possible. Someone, somewhere, must have some kind of clips of either one of these ladies? *flutters eyelids sweetly*

Anyone have a clip of Jane Horn doing OMO? She understudied Eponine in 1999 in London...I have video of her but it won't convert for some reason. Sad

And lastly, anyone have a SOUND clip of Megan Lawrence? I have a video clip of her OMO but would love an MP3 bite.
digitalxdoll

I really want to hear Amanda Salmon as Eponine too.

I have sound clips of Catherine Brunell but no OMO. I also have Natalie Toro in One day more and A little fall of rain but no OMO.

Could you send me the Isralie Alfor, and the Dutch OMO? I could give you you the OMOs from the Japanese red and blue casts.

Orestes Fasting

I already have the full Japanese red and blue recordings, and yeah, I like Kaho a lot better in Japanese than in English. Her accent is distracting on the CSR, but she's in her element here.
eponinelover

Would you like OMO and ALFOR from the Violet Cast, being as you already have the other OMOs?
Orestes Fasting

That would be lovely. Do you have anything else from the other Japanese recordings?
digitalxdoll

o.O i can be cheeky and ask if you can upload One day more aswell from that Japanese cast. I only have the red cast and some blue. Thanks =]

I don't have anymore from the violet cast, but I have ODM from the Blue cast. Should I upload all three of them?

i have that ODM, thanks anyway =]

Why is there different coloured casts for the Japanese only? Why isn't there for any other recordings?

And what is there? Blue; Red; Violet, and can you buy them all?
The Very Angry Woman

olly wrote:

Because other productions don't have three dozen rotating casts. (I exaggerate, but you know what I mean.)

Japanese productions often do, and thus often record all their rotating casts -- they have to differentiate somehow.

There are six total: the original Red and Blue casts, then the 2003 Violet, (Light) Blue, Green, and Orange casts. All of them are available off www.footlight.com or www.soundofmusic.de .

I foolishly made another topic about this, but anyway...

Does anyone have sound clips of Eric Kunze playing Marius?

I have several things to trade in case anyone is intrested (none of them Les Miserables related, I'm afraid).

I have:

-The Rasputin Concept Recording-
Recorded 2004
Staring: Ted Neeley, John Hurt, Christopher P. Carry
Website: www.rasputinthemusical.com
This recording is heavely influenced by Les Miz.
Sound clips:
Blood on Your Hands, sung by Ted Neeley as Rasputin:

-The Poe Concept Album-
Staring Steven Balsamo
Based on poems by Edgar Alan Poe, also follows his life.
Sound Clips:
Somewhere in the Audience, sung by Steve Balsamo; Poe laments the loss of his wife

Thankyou for the Eric Kunze and Lea Salonga recording. She has got this effortless sound hasn't she. Wish I could have gone to see the show back in the day!!! The sound (orchestra) now is symphonic and simple and quite, well........ crap really. I hear that for the 21st year they are extending the show time so hopefully this means that they are putting some original bits in and maybe a few orchestra members too?!!!!

Original songs? Like what? "LUn vers lautre"? Even after the changes throughout the years, they've never lost one whole song.

Honestly, is it difficult to post a specific URL?

I've seen so many people post similar things to what you have ("Go here, search here, blah blah blah"), when it's extremely easy to just post the direct link ("Hey, here's a URL!") to what you're talking about. I don't understand it.

Oh Lordy. You need more than to be pretty and sing well in life. You could get attacked by a flesh eating bug (at least in a British hospital you could Razz ) tomorrow and your looks are gone. Please don't make such amazingly vain statements for your own protection; there's a whole lot of people who will rip you to shreds for that. I might suggest you click the link in TVAW's signature and see exactly what I mean.

However, if you can do nothing else, it's as simple as when you're on the webpage you want to share, click on the address bar and it'll highlight it in blue, press CTRL & C at the same time, then press CTRL and V in the message window and lo and behold, it copies it into your post.

You can do what I do if the URL is too long and go to www.tinyurl.com and get them to make long URL's small or you could learn the codes to make a word into a link, it is simple but I forgot how to do it.
smokeyspotlight

Let them rip me to shreds. Let them burn me at the stake. I can take it. I like it! It makes me laugh to see people take a funny and innocent statement and attack it. They obviously have frustrations over their own looks and talent if they do, and it would be thanks to me that they can air it. In a way, I am giving a service to those who need it through my supreme vanity. BRING IT ON!!!!
Thanks for the URL advice btw, I got it covered though (boyf just showed me how it was done- knew he was good for something!).

I can actually hear TVAW approaching.............

Eurgh. You remind me of this dick in our year who thinks he's ---- amazing at everything. Initially I really liked him; liked his personality and voice (not so much his acting), but then all this "praise" went to his head and he became an arrogant, self-effacing bastard.
smokeyspotlight

Wow- you got all that from that one little line?!!! Interesting peeps! Keep them coming please- me and flatmates are having a right laugh looking at how personally you are all taking this one little joke which has been completely blown out of proportion!!!!
By the way olly- there is a DICK like that in every year of every theatre school- try and remember that some people hide there true feelings/insecurites behind a mask of bravado and comedy and that it takes an even bigger DICK to not recognise this and label him like the rest of the sheep- oops, I mean students.
Also maybe he wasn't the one who changed rather peoples attitudes towards him- jealousy- its a bitch huh?!!!

Funny because

a) I'm not in a theatre school: I'm in an academic school taking A-levels.
b) I don't think of myself of a good singer, thus not "jealous".
c) I'm head of the school's drama committe out of 700 people - he's not.
d) I'm not arrogant: one can't argue that arrogance is a virtue
e) If you want to out the word "jealousy" in this context, you can't. If you want to say something like that, it's envy
smokeyspotlight

Well my dear- if all that you say is true then:

a) congratulations on the whole committe thing
Applause
b) obviously someone as high achieving as yourself would certainly recognise a dick from a mile off,
c) there is hardly any discussion here at all- do not liken me to a dick you met at school from a comment that I made half heartedly saying that I didn't know how to send a URL because I was too pretty and talented to fit anymore in- if you can't understand the blatant humour in that then fine- but don't harpoon me with quite nasty comments because of it.

This is NOT from a Chinese LM production (because there is none), it's recorded for a compilation album. Some phrases aren't translated because it wouldn't fit with the melody.
