On My Own Backing Track?

Does anyone have backing track to: 'On My Own?
[email protected]
Cloudy This Morning

Well, it depends on what kind of quality you're willing to take. I have several different kinds, all of which are, dare I say...kind of crappy. The only one with potentional starts at 'On My Own', bu the prettiness dissolves into very loud and very distracting drum-beats in the later half.

I do however, have a very accurate and VERY pretty 'Come To Me' and 'Phantom of the Opera'. And a quite decent 'I Dreamed a Dream'. And 'Confronation', but I doubt you're interested in that.

If nothing else, you could always make your own with those programs floating around the internet.

O rly? The only 'Come to Me' I have is crappy, too fast, and full of hokey MIDI strings. To PM, darling?

Couldn't you use a Come to Me backing track for On My Own?

For the middle yes, but you'd get thrown off in the very beginning and the end.

Try this site, everyone.

And you'll be singing as Fantine?

What, haven't you always wanted to hear me being a crazy consumptive whore?

...oh, wait...

I know. It's a very iffy site, but most of them work, particularly the MIDI files.

What are you on about, dear? I've always wanted to hear you as Valjean! Wink

I could sing Fantine in crazuh falsetto.

That could be funny. Think of Barry Manilow singing Fantine.

Grrr the Little Fall of Rain one won't work! *hits computer*

Sometimes me and my (girl) friend like to sing 'A Heart Full of Love' to amuse ourselves. She does Marius, and I do Cosette until I take over for Eponine, and then she does Cosette... And.Oh.My.God. It's the funniest damn thing ever. She sounds like...oh, man, I can't even describe it. Wish I had a clip. She's an alto (low, low alto) who has to go into falsetto... *snerk*

Oh, Lazzy-baby! What a predicament we are in! I can't PM and you can't check your mail!!
Lazarus (Adam G)

You can't PM?! How come?

Hmmm...I'll give you my 'personal' e-mail....

Oh, Lawdy!! (fans) I do declare I cannot wait! Is it hot in here to anyone else?

I need a backing track too. I can't seem to find one with the accompaniment only (without the sung notes) and those are really distracting. I'm supposed to practice this for voice lessons and it would be nice to have a backing track since I can't play the accompaniment on the piano.

And also...does anyone know the names of one of those 'programs floating around the internet'?

I play with 'Audacity'. Just type it into google. It's free and you can do all kinds of neat things.

I have tracks without the sung notes off of the piano/vocal/guitar Volume 24 songbook and cd. Found it at my university library. PM me if interested, I guess?

When you say 'tracks', how many do we mean? Which ones? I'm fairly interested but I. Can. Not. PM.

(PS - Look! I finally got an avatar!! (not a very good one, mind, but...))

There are 16 tracks in total, but only eight songs. Each song has its track with the piano notes and then one strictly for singing. Shoot- when I put them on Realplayer it even reads it as, as an example, "On My Own (singing)" as opposed to "On My Own (piano)". It's pretty good accompaniment; I use it to sing, though I still sing some notes off tune b/c they're out of my vocal range, haha.

The tracks are:
1. Bring Him Home
2. Castle on a Cloud
3. Do You Hear the People Sing?
4. Drink with Me
5. Empty Chairs...
6. I Dreamed a Dream
7. A Little Fall of Rain
8. On My Own.

Send me an email and I'll try to get 'em on sendspace, I guess.
