So, I'm listening to The Pirate Queen Cast Album...

...and it sucks. A lot.

The music is beautiful, but it's boring at the same time...

Sorry guys, I love Les Miserables, but The Pirate Queen is kinda bad.

My friend and I listened to it on a drive and when we got to where we were going, we were hoarse and phlegmy from laughing.

I adore Les Miserables.

I do not like Miss Saigon.

I loved Stephanie J. Block in The Pirate Queen!
Too bad they cut my favorite song from the cast recording...

Yeah, the whole Pirate Queen score sounds really half-assed except for the parts where B&S were blatantly plagiarizing themselves. (Boys Will Be Boys anyone?) Too bad for the cast though. They're insanely talented especially Stephanie J. Block.

At this point, The Pirate Queen and Chess are my favourit musicals, followed by Miss Saigon, Les Mis, and Martin Guerre, I can't see why everyone seems to hate the newer Sch

I was kinda meh about it my first listen through...I grew to really enjoy it though. I like all of the numbers with Queen Elizabeth and her court and such in particular...the villians in this show rock...hard. Very Happy
