The Perfect Thenardier For A Studio Cast Recording

Mark Hamill.

I know, you're thinking, "Luke Skywalker? What?" But remember, Mark has only had 2 significant roles, ever. One is Luke. The other is the famous voice of The Joker on almost every animated incarnation of Batman since 1989.

I was listening to it today while trying to develop a character voice for a show I'm in, and it suddenly hit me. Hamill's Joker IS the perfect Thenardier!

Huh. Interesting thought. Do you have a clip of his voice? And does he sing at all? 'Course the role of Thenardier doesn't call for a very large range...I dunno. It's an interesting thought though.

Look up Mark Hamill Joker or Joker Phantasm on Youtube.

Whoa...just checked out that episode on youtube and I completely agree, Hamill as the Joker has a very Thenardier-like voice!

Wonder if he can sing...?

LOL! I love Luke. Very Happy He's a dolt, but he is a nice kid.
Mark!Thnardier? Why not? Wink

We should write an SW!LM crossover. We have Rebels, we have a tyrann, we have the faithful servant who has his own demons... (imagine Vader with a lightstick and sideburns) oh, and Han Solo only needs to change his vest to a red one. Laughing

He sings a little bit in "Christmas With The Joker." Granted, he's trying to sing rather poorly in such a case, but it's fairly obvious that if he tried, he could do better, and there's a very strong Thenardier sound to his voice.
