Thought this would be appreciated here...

So in my Animaniacs obsessing I came across Les Miseranimals, the show' parody of Les Mis...(starring Bernadette Peters as Rita (!!!!))

I never known Bernadette Peters did the voice of Rita, despite liking that show. I suppose you learn something new every day.

The link no longer works, but I found the video in two parts here:

Part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bwDRUJ3GFJY

Animaniacs was always one of my favorite cartoons, but it amazes me to think how much of that stuff must have gone right over my head when I watched it as a child. The Les Miseranimals cartoon is fantastic.

Oh.

My.

Hugo.

This is one of the most fabulous things I have ever seen. I nearly DIED at the Do You Hear the People Sing and the A Little Fall of Rain references. SO FUNNY. I think the best by far was Confrontation though. Hah hah hah hah!

I might just watch it over and over and over again.

Shocked

...

The epic tale of Runt Valrunt as he flees from... Camembert?

That was BEAUTIFUL. The Sweeney Todd references were the icing on the cake. Applause

I saw this when it originally aired 537563456278 years ago. But it's nice to see it on the net.
