Writing an essay on Les Mis

My sister is writing a 4000-5000 word essay explicating the music of Les Mis. The problem is, she needs primary sources, which would be articles and interviews from composers, producers, directors, critics, or performers, that deal strictly with the music and how the music relates to the characters. She has found dozens of articles that summarizes the show, but those aren't helpful for her.

So I was wondering if anybody here can help me out? I'll be able to pass on whatever websites or books that you guys suggest.

Haven't read this yet, but I hear it contains an in-depth analytical look at the show's musical score.
