'03 Japanese live recordings helpAlright -- sometime soon, I'm looking to pick up one of the four Japanese recordings from '03. Is any one of these considered particularly superior/inferior to the others? How is the overall sound quality on these albums? Any less/more of a "tunnel" effect than on the '94 Nagoya casts? Any audio samples available online? How do they measure up to, say, the live Prague "Bidnici" recording?

They do have less of that "tunnel" sound, as you put it. I haven't listened to them enough to review them, but of what I've heard, I liked. The orchestra is excellent and well mixed. The performers are top notch, unlike the '94 Red album which has a few weak voices.

Hmm... I consider the '94 album the best of the Japanese, and one of the best over all, in terms of performers. Who didn't you like on that album?
