Monsieur D'Arque

"Bring Him Home" in F

How much of an idiot am I?

When I heard that the School edition transposed BHH from A into F, I thought they had transposed it up, not down.

"That's impossible! Not even Colm can sing it that high. The first note would be a high C..."

This deserves a well-timed lol.

Hahaha!

The first time I heard BHH was maybe 2 years ago when a friend gave me a songbook and told me to sing the first thing I flipped to ... and it was BHH in F ... and I had no idea what Les Mis was at the time (I knew my cousin's friend had been in it a long time ago and that it was a big deal when it happened, but I didn't know anything about the story) and I thought it was supposed to be sung by a girl ...

d'oh! d'oh! d'oh! d'oh! Embarassed Haha. *points at self* Former stupid freshman ...

"God on-" voice cracks.
Mistress

"God it's high...the song's too high...pity me, change the key..."

Laughing

The school edition didn't transpose it at all...
Monsieur D'Arque

Hmm... must have been a songbook then.
Trevor reincarnate

It probably was. Lots of songbooks and karaokes transpose the key for normal human beings to be able to sing.
