3nt closing

So, who else was there in St Louis on the 23rd for the last performance of the US national tour? I might have seen you at the stage door or something.

Hello! I wandered into this site while trying to see if there were any reviews of that performance. We were there. imo - and I'm not a performer as it seems most are who frequent this site - it was magificent. The best one I've seen. The entire company was engaged and there was a lot of energy.

The last 2 swings thru STL Randall Keith was ill (Feb 05 and I think Mar 03.) Last year Roger Seder (??) stepped in; in 03 Ivan Rutherford flew in. We were so happy to see Randall sing this time. I thought there was going to be a standing O after Soliloquy and I was one of the first who jumped up after BHH. What a voice!

We talked of going to the stage door but decided there would be some kind of case get-together and didn't want to take away from your time. What part were you?

Regards,
Skip
Mademoiselle Lanoire

Me, though I didn't quite make it to the stage door.

Fourth convict from the left, Enjolras understudy. And... get-together? The cast party was so wild that we all agreed that what happens in St Louis stays in St Louis--all I'm at liberty to say is that the Broadway revival will have to replace a couple tricolor sashes.

sounds like the show was amazing and the party after was a blast Very Happy sorry I missed it! by the way I love your signature..I really apreciate it as A) Enjolras is my favorite male character in the show and B) I played him a while ago in the school edition (I am a girl but they wanted me for Enjolras as they didn't have enough guys and at that time I could kind of sing tenor) I had so much fun.

Sorry, I've been away for a while, but if I'm reading correctly, Orestes Fasting performs in the United States National Tour of Les Miserables? If you are, I had no idea you were a professional actor, and well done. But as I say, I've been away for a while, or it may have gone straight over my head in the past. Or I'm completely wrong...

No, she doesn't. She's being tongue-in-cheek.

Haha, I was there when that was shot. Randal said "Oh, I'm on YouTube now?" and I looked around and started recognizing people from the internet.

In all seriousness, I wasn't in the cast, just the crazy girl at the stage door who gave Victor Wallace flowers. You might have seen me--I was the one in the black corset and floofy skirt. I've never seen such a big turnout at the stage door before.

Yeah, I was wondering why you said that you were first a convict and second Enjolras understudy, since you're a girl, and Enjolras is....not. On the subject though, is there anyone on this site that is or has been part of the official production?

From what I know. No.

It would be highly unlikely for them to join an internet chat room of one of their productions in my opinion. Hypothetically, if one did, I'm not sure how much they'd be able to talk about it - I'm sure there's some confidentiality in the productions.

And they probably wouldn't have time.

It has happened. Take my word on that.

How long ago was that? Initially, I thought you were something to with the Broadway production behind the scenes. But I found out you just know people who've been in it.

I can think of at least five who posted a couple of times (or more) at Le Cafe, including former US tour Thnardier Michael Kostroff and former UK tour ensemble member Bobbie Chatt. Randal Keith has posted on Cafe Musain. Scott Logsdon was spotted on Rue Plumet. Josh Young spammed one of the Phantom boards several months ago to plug his CD. Oliver Thornton once flipped out on one of Mae and Linn's incarnation of their boards.

Anthony Rapp and Doug Storm used to be regular posters on rec.arts.theatre.musicals.

A few others have been spotted in chat rooms and other messsage boards, but specifics escape me.

It's not like actors lead internet-insular lives, or that they sign waivers saying they can't talk about their work. They do need to exercise discretion, and most do -- but I always find it amusing when fans are baffled and/or floored and/or completely confused when they find out actors have been reading what they're saying, and occasionally responding.

Come to think of it, doesn't John Owen-Jones occasionally post on his official forum?
