Am I the only one who likes Judge Turpin? Oh, that stupid Lucy.
Terfel vs. Philip. No question. Terfel is an adorable and nice person, but absolutely not sexy. Isn't this, what we do with Philip, just like what the European pezzonovantes did to Poland? (*Feuilly mode*)

That stick has a lot of Freudian subtext...
OMG in the 1978 movie, barricade scene, Valjean said to Javert: "Turn around" and I started to laugh hysterically. 'Cos Javert was like: "Ohhh, do it, Jean, do it!"
JVJ/J is canon. Really.

I claim Javert's hair ribbon and his death cry at 'there is no way to go OOOONNN!!' on the TAC. So sad, and yet full of win. If that made any sense whatsoever.

The '78 film is really really full of Javert angsting after Valjean. I mean, it's blatant.
And Perkins does a rather cool dismissal scene... I liked the way he just wandered around the room staring at the pictures. It wasn't quite fiddling with wood shavings, but it's the closest a movie has gotten. Um - I claim his random kicking/slap mini!fight with Michael Ball, his hug of Colm Wilkinson as the credits roll, his water bottle, and his acting at the barricade. Mine! All Mine! *cackles* |

I claim Javert's completely adorable smile at the end of the TAC, the burnt sections of his greatcoat, the deadly glitter in his eyes during 'Confrontation', a pinch of snuff from his box, and the 'lost little boy' expression during his suicide song. *sweeps them up and hugs to self protectively* | ||||

I really, really want to see a video of the afterparty of TAC. I think it had to be... hm... interesting. After all those hugs...
I fangirl his tricolore sash and his "rebel" costume. Especially the vest. And the lines "Shot me now of shot me later..." what the bastards STOLE from him!
Plus, I am ready to kill Gavroche in a very painful way.

Oh, and the way he half leans forwards when Colm gets up to sing in 'Heart Full of Love' reprise. (Have you ever noticed how Colm and PQ seem to lean real close together while Marius and cosette sign the first part of that song?) And I completely fangirl the way he pretends his hands are ties behind his back after Gavroche rats on him (the little menace!) Ditto on the 'lost little boy' look, btw. And the startled 'WTF? Valjean??' look during the line 'A volunteer like you/He's gonna get it too. |

Personally, I'd like to lock that little monster in a closet somewhere before he rats out Javert.
My favorite line of PQ's on the TAC is "The man of mercy comes again, and talks of justice!" You can just feel the hatred. It's so great.

And I adore after Colm goes bakc to his place (with nonexisting Marius) how he turns totally desperate and lost... oh... I just want to hug him.
And he stands before a microphone, but you can see the bridge, the black and merlicess sky, feel the cold breath of the river... and fell he is doomed.

Oh! Oh! The little part where he says 'It is either Valjean or Javert!' on the TAC--he whirls around, starts to stomp off, then sees Colm sitting there. I love it when PQ freezes and stumbles back a couple of steps before turning back to the mike. LOVE IT. *claims said bit*
