Appearance on "The View"?

Did anyone record the performance of the Broadway cast that was on "The View" this morning for Rosie's birthday or know of anyone who did?

I just saw a brief clip on television and they were performing a bit of the finale, looks interesting.

Edited for stupidness.

I was really sad that they didn't really do close-ups of Lea...and that they didn't do "One Day More", that being like...the signature song. But it was great seeing them all, either way!

Where is it on there? I scanned through the page and couldn't see it.

Not there. It only references BHH and apparently that wasn't all that they did.
The Very Angry Woman

Drew ain't in BHH.

You may want to tell that to this person....

my mom was funny too she came in my room to watch it and they started Bring him hom and my mom was like "That's Drew right?! Over this guys shoulder..RIGHT!?"

she was proud of herself for knowing him. LOL

Here's one where they state that they did the finale...

LMAO!! When I turned it on the first thing I saw was the cast singing the finale and BOOM there's Drew!

That's about it. There's not a post on that page stating specifically what was done.

I'm just curious as to how long it took you to go back to that site to post the link (which really didn't have anything that I was looking for...at all) when you could've simply just answered the question?

The whole ensemble was visible during "Bring Him Home" on The View this morning... they were all standing behind Alex while he was singing, then they moved forward to join him (and the other principals came on stage) for "Do You Hear The People Sing"

EDIT: Clip of all the casts featured on The View singing "Happy Birthday"

Yup, I made sure that I tuned in for this. I was also kind of disappointed that they didn't do One Day More and showcase each of the individual performers and the masterpiece that is ODM. It would have been so appropriate for Rosie's one year more! But, it was still cool to see all of the cast on stage, I suppose.

Yes, they sang half of BHH and the Act II finale. Instead of being dressed in her night garb, as she is in the finale, Lea wore her Fantine dress and wig. Celia wasn't all grubbied-up, either. Aaron stood in the background the entire time Sad. Afterwards, Rosie came on to talk to Alex, calling him "Paul." Alex was like, "Oh, Paul is my father." Heh! She also pointed out Norm Lewis and then "Tony award winner, Lea Salonga!" But that was it. Nothing else. This Les Mis fan wanted more! Very Happy

The studio audience got so lucky, though, b/c Rosie gave everybody tickets for all three shows! Surprised

Did anybody else notice how badly the announcer pronounced the show? Miserables with a short A sound.

I didn't get to see this, and I'm rather glad I didn't see it. Bad Rosie.... if I were her, I would have asked to see "IDAD" and "One Day More." But then again, what do you expect from Rosie? Ever since I saw her in Fiddler, I've refused to even think about the woman who ruined Golde for me.

Thanks for posting the link! It sounded great, but I thought the finale was a little too upbeat. Does Lea normally wear a blonde wig at the performances?
Eponine93

No, Lea has a wig that's about her natural hair color, maybe a little lighter. Thank god it's not blond. That would look HORRENDOUS!

EDIT: Watched it again. Why is Ali in front of Aaron? Sure, Ali's outfit is prettier but I actually think Enjolras is a bigger part than Cosette, even though Cosette is more important.

I don't understand Rosie's logic. She pick any number and she chose BHH and the finale. Why not IDAD?

Probably because they were vaguely sticking with the finale blocking. Marius and Cosette are always in the very front, so they're in front of Enjolras and his homies, who are lined up the same way they are in the show.
Eponine93

Oooh, yeah, I see what you mean. I just don't think it works in this situation.
kitty17794

I think Cosette's more important...the story revolves around Cosette after all...Valjean takes her in, raises her, she changes him for the better...Enjolras has a very small part compared to that.
