Hmm.... Well judging by the time Hugh played Marius on broadway, plus from http://www.broadwaylesmis.com/Gallery/PAViewPhoto.asp?ID=81, and broadwaylesmis.com, I put together this POSSIBLE cast list. (Provided there are no understudies. Some charachters might be doubled because two people played the role while Hugh was Marius.)
Valjean: Craig Shculman Cosette: Tracy Shayne or Jacquelyn Piro Eponine: Natalie Toro Enjorlas: Joseph Kolinski or Joe Locarro Javert: Peter Samuel or Robert Westenberg Thenardiers: Ed Dixon and Evalyn Baron Note I have only included those who were in the show in 1990 - Jennifer Butt was still the show until 1989 but the woman on your recording is definately not Jennifer (Jennifer's distinctive voice is not noticed.) Hope this helps! Any veteran Les Mis viewer, please correct me if I've made any mistakes. EDIT: Although Cosette could possibly be Tracy Shayne, I have a feeling it is not her. Comparing her voice to the one on your clip, they dont match. Perhaps the more probable Cosette was Jacquelyn. |

...oh my Lord, I'm SO sorry. It's just that Jacquelyn was one of my favorite Fantine's, so I always remember her that way. I've never heard her Cosette, but I'm pretty sure that isn't Tracy Shayne. Tracy Shayne has a distinctly birdlike quality to her voice. |
