Best Javert...besides Phil Quast.Exactly what it says...
Since this would be boring otherwise, I'm making this thread a poll/ water balloon fight. When you vote, or nominate someone, you throw a waterballoon at a forum member of your choice.
Also, you have to nominate people. The first 10 others nominated will go in the pole.

You're supposed to recommend someone for the pole, then throw a waterballoon at someone!!!!!!!!!!!
Get it?
For example you might say "I recommend Roger Allam. "
Then, I put Roger ALlam on the pole.
Then, you might say "I throw a waterballoon at Gayboy."
And Gayboy gets hit by a waterballoon thrown by you!
I thought it would be a great idea!

I throw a waterballoon at Eponine Girl, but due to my terrible aim, it misses her completely.
I recomment the guy wh I saw with Randall Kieth on the 2002/2003 tour. He was amazing... though I forget his name... I think it was Hunt, but I could be thinking of another tour.
Terrance Mann is also a great Javert. Great "Confrontation" scene.
Again, *throws waterballoon at Eponine Girl, but misses her by two inches.*
 I'm having fun.

I still recommand Philip Quast, even though he's not supposed to be in this poll.
I throw my waterballoon at Quique and hit him right in the face!

I always reccomend Terrence Mann, who I saw when he returned to Broadway before the show left and amazed both me and my friend incredibly much. I was seriously impressed. And he was just awesome.
Then I throw a water balloon at Fantine, but not at her icons because they're just too cool

General Cornwallis recomends Chuck Wagner and Ron Baker. Both have amazing voices! Baker's better though.
He throws his water balloon at Sairin. It hits him, but John Owen-Jones is preserved from the splash in all his glory.

Logistically impossibility, me being female and all. 
I nominate Mark Dickinson for the poll, though I'm probably the only one to have seen him, and throw a water balloon at Notorious because she hasn't written me yet.

Never saw live, but from boots and recordings, other than Phillip Quast, I have to say that Roger Allam gets my vote. I like Terrance Mann, but he just kind of fades when I put his voice side by side with Roger Allam's.

Roger Allam. I didnt see him live as Javert and I don't care. (Well actually I do...because I wish I had seen him)

Obviously Philip Quast (because I'm obsessed with him, but the poll says no... so...)
Roger Allam; I listened to him for 3 years before I got the CSR and I loved him - thought he was brillant. Then after getting the CSR, I thought Quast was awful. But now Quast is by far my favorite Javert.
I still think Allam is brilliant, but Quast... WOW. If I saw Allam now (In the whole show), I would love that. I still prefer his Confrontation, but I think thats due to a bad orchestration on the CSR's account.
But, yes, Allam.

The best Javert EVER was Robert Westenberg. He was tons better than Quast.
