Da Vinci Code and Les Mis...whoa...

Hey guys -
I just saw The Da Vinci Code tonight...for those who've seen it, anybody notice the Les Mis reference? In the scene where Sophie drives the car backwards, they pass this huge Les Mis poster on the street and there's a quick close up of it before the scene moves on. I don't know what that's all about but I thought it was cool.
The Very Angry Woman

You hadn't heard? Dan Brown had a torrid love affair with Cameron Mackintosh. Michael le Poer Trench threatened to go to the press.
Fantine

Haven't seen it - just read it, but isn't that scene in Paris?

I saw it yesterday and noticed the LM poster. I REALLY had to stop myself from going "Look! Les Mis! Les Mis!"

I noticed it but didn't have someone with me who would have appreciated it.
mizzie

I hit my dad when I saw it.

It was fun.
Aimee

Damn, not seen it yet and now I don't know how I'd have reacted to it if I'd seen it by surprise. Still I wont tell my fiance and see what he doswhen we go this weekend. Very Happy

Is that scene in Paris or not?
showtoon

Yes, it's in Paris.
eponine_1832

You know why the poster is there though right? The Victor Hugo and Priory of Sion link?
showtoon

That never occured to me. Was Hugo really in the Priory?

Do you mean in the book or in real life?
olly

Roughly how long is The Da Vinci Code showing in British cinemas? I don't have time to go right now...

In the book: yes

The priory most likely doesn't exist in real life, so then no.
Etoile

I'm going to see that movie just because of that reference.

Oh no, don't. 2.5 hours just to see half a poster for Les Mis for 0.2 seconds?
Pshhness

Wow, my anticipation just went up a notch (Already have the tickets for tomorrow). I'm going to see it with a friend who absolutely refused to watch TAC DVD when I asked him. The poster would be something for me to smirk about.. Very Happy
