Does anyone own this?I have only just now discovered the wonders of Dresscircle.http://www.dresscircle.co.uk/product.asp?StockID=27592 Apparently they have three Les Mis karaoke CD's, does anybody know if they're any good? I also see lots of stuff that I would LOVE to buy... Shame that my budget doesn't really allow it. They also have some sort of statue with the Thenardiers, quite drole. |

Ooh, is it the 4-disc one? That one's usually running pretty expensive when it surfaces on eBay, and I've heard it's good... but I haven't ever attempted to afford it, so, I can't vouch for sure. |

I have some "backing tracks" from the usual illegitimate sources, and they all sound like crappy MIDI versions. Who knows, maybe the CD ones are better. |

I've got it.
It's fun singing along, but the backing tracks sound pretty tinny and fake. I would suggest getting other backing tracks if you can find them, since the only thing I like about owning it is that I don't have to ignore the other harmonies when I'm trying to sing along. Another positive is that it has a lot of the songs (though Confrontation is noticeably absent.) The CDs with the recorded actors are awful as well. I listen to it occasionally, just for a laugh--it's really that bad. I've never heard a less enthusiastic Gavroche in my life. So if you want backing tracks for fun, I'd say get it, but if you want it for recording, I think you'd have better luck finding another one or getting a piano recording. |
