You can get practically the whole thing from Dress Circle: www.dresscircle.co.uk
But it costs 40 quid! |

My advice is to get a copy of the CSR to give your cast a "flavour" of the show. Then all you need to do is get a pianist to play some of the songs from the Vocal Slections. Once again giving your cast a "flavour" So they will be prepared for when the actual versions arrive. Just some ideas.

Found a solution to my problem. I remembered that I have a software on my mac called "iKaraoke" which virtually removes the lead vocals on audio tracks. I simply popped in the CSR and exported the resulting backing tracks. Thanks for your help everyone!

Good luck with your show.
You can also find 100's of Les Mis midi files all over the net. With a program like Vanbascos, you can isolate each voice part too. Its great for note bashing. |

I got "iKaraoke" as a free demo on a CD that came with MacWorld magazine. You can only use the software for free for a period of 30 days, otherwise you'd have to pay $30 for it.
It really doesnt totally erase lead vocals on audio tracks, rather, it turns the lead vocals to a virtual "echo". When you sing along with it, the echo is hardly noticeable |
