International recordings

Is there in fact a Korean recording? I'm curious, as I've heard different things in different places. Also, how would I go about getting a copy of the Swedish recording? I've looked on all the websites I'm aware of, without success.

A korean recording does exist, the label was or is Hanyang Records Co., Ltd.
As for the swedish recording I cant help you. But for all who look for an international recording and might not find it, I recommend this link: http://www.soundofmusic-shop.de/s04.php?sid=f3f4b597a666b879c6fe24d266e7cbd8&shopid=s04&cur=eur&sp=en&ag=1&pp=sucheaug&os=1&br=1&offset=112&suchstr=&aug=1&augn=CDs%20Shows&studio=&studion=&eb3=38&eb3n=M&zu=&azn=&ak1=&akn=&ak2=&ak2n=&leg=1&sql_rest=&sortierungneu=

That link was great, I wish I could get all of them Smile As for the Swedish recording, my best suggestion would be to keep a good eye on Ebay, a lot of the time stuff will pop up there, recently a whole bunch of foreign recordings became available (although I don't think there was a Swedish one) so I'd keep looking there.

Swedish: You'll be lucky. Try eBay I guess.

It's VERY hard to find now and it was pretty hard to find even when it was in print.

Craps!

I have it.

It's not an official recording. I don't know why it's always listed in people's audio collections as being an official Cameron Mackintosh production recording.

Some of the singers are OK. The orchestrations are snipped pieces of audio from the CSR, blended rather badly in with icky synthesizers craps. Mad

I have heard that there were some copyright issues with the Korean cast recording and it was discontiued, so that is why it is rare. It does sound like the Koreans can use a better cast recording of Les Mis.

Quique, I have some questions for you, could you please tell what singers you do like on the Korean cast recording and could you give more details about them? Do you have any idea why there is a role or two that are played by more than one actor on the Korean cast recording?
