This probably really old news, but I'm new to this showe and am just starting to explore it, so I thought I'd put it up for other newbiees...Leas Salonga is the voice of Jasmine...I think I'll go watcth the movies now.
Mademoiselle Lanoire

Next you'll be telling us she was the original star of Miss Saigon.

Just the singing voice, not the speaking. Also the singing voice of Mulan.

Did you also know she's from the Philippines?!

The Very Angry Woman, I just spent several minutes watching your avatar. Word on every count. And thank you.

Shocked Jeez, don't go and shoot the newbie...This is why I haven't been on here in awhile. the first time I went on the Les Mis thread I got bombed too...you guys aren't too friendly here are you?
...and no I didn't know any of that other stuff
The Very Angry Woman

There's being a newbie and then there's being a newbie...
Mistress

I'm not going ask what that means...I'll probably just get a ton of misery if I do. It looks like I will have to swear off this Les Mis Thread perminantly...I don't even know why I posted this thing in the first place...much like my first post here, although I am at least partly to blame for that...I made the mistake of posting a "review" less than a minute after finishing the 10th anniversary video. I was still overwhelmed by emotion (Yes, that video did affect me that much...it was my first real experience of the show, I hadn't heard any of the music form it before) and everything came out like a fangirl going psychotic. Anyway, I just backed off after a few posts, and everything seemed fine, and then my idiocy compelled me to come back on here, with my "revelation" and now I'm the laughing stock of the Les Mis forum...again Brick wall

*Backs away slowly and runs off too seek refuge in a more friendly forum*

*hugs Mistress and protects her from the nasty people of the Les Mis board*

*hugs actor back* Thank you actor, I feel much better now Mr. Green

Aww, Mistress, don't feel bad.

I totally understand the excited-fangirl-I just saw the TAC feeling- most of everyone here has been there at some point.
TVAW (and some others of us) may be sarcastic but I don't think she's mean hearted. I think that this is one of the more sane boards on the musicals.net forum and if you stick around for a bit I'm sure you'll be just fine.
BTW, I didn't know she was just the singing voice of Jasmine- I wonder why they didn't just have her read the lines too?
Mistress

Wow...I feel so loved now Mr. Green Thanks you guys, I might try and stick around as I have a couple questions regarding the lyrics...though I'm still afraid to ask them for fear of getting laughed at again...but I guess as long as there are some nicer folks here it shouldn't be a problem...

This is one of the saner boards, you're right on that one. I've seen some really crazy stuff on the other boards I visit...On the Wicked forum for example you basically have 3 types of people: The fangirls/boys, the bashers, and the mitigators who try to keep the peace between the other two. The Sweeney Todd forum is also pretty sane, except when it comes to Patti Lupone... Shocked you'd beeter run for cover if a Lupone war starts...anyway, that and the less frequently visited and pretty tame Phantom forum are the only ones I really go on. Are there any other things on the Les Mis forum I should be warned of before a try amalgimating myself?
