Les Mis '91 PRC recording help

Hello -- first time poster on this forum, looking for a bit of help. The second disc of my PRC seems to have had a terrible accident involving water damage, and I'm having a devil of a time trying to secure a replacement copy. The "Intgrale" 4-disc set seems to be sold out at every turn, even through specialty sites like Sound of Music and Dress Circle, and eBay is dry of non-English language recordings of Les Miz entirely. Would anyone be able to point me in the direction of an existing copy? Is it available for legal download anywhere? Many thanks in advance!

It's available from iTunes. That's where I got my copy. (I wish more of the foreign recordings could be downloaded from there! Crying or Very sad)

Many thanks for the replies -- I don't have iTunes, and I'm not keen to join the cult, but it's good to know the option's there if I change my mind. I put an order through with Dress Circle, as they weren't showing it out of stock, just "usually ships in 4-10 business days," which is generally the kiss of death when it comes to questionably OOP material. I'll still give it a shot, though.

I had a huge crack in the third disc of my CSR, so I sat back and waited for a while, then finally bought it on iTunes. And for the record, I bought my PRC off eBay for over $70 before iTunes was a big thing. Now it's widely available there for about a quarter of that. I'm not sure what the "iTunes cult" is, but if it can save you fifty dollars and a lot of headache, what makes it bad?

I wasn't referring to the iTunes cult, so much as the cult of Apple, but that's just a personal bias. I'm keen on ensuring I have a digital format that I can personally go into and manipulate to my choosing (like a standard mp3), and for something like the PRC, I do have that fetish for a physical copy as well. For the record, I've had my original since before it went OOP the first time, so having a physical pressing is near and dear to me, and I would pay that premium to secure an original of pristine sound quality that would be with me for years to come. I'm still kicking myself for passing on an LP edition years ago, before Footlight closed shop.

According to FGL Productions' website (who were involved with previous editions), it's being re-issued again with the Original Concept Album later this month with what looks like different packaging.

Oo! Very good to know, just in case this order doesn't go through.

You can also find L'Intergrale at amazon.fr, for another option. Website is in french, though.

Apple are taking steps to remove DRM from the iTunes store, called 'iTunes Plus' formats - this may be available for what you want. In any case, it's mainly the record companies who have taken steps to ensure DRM is implemented not Apple (although I'm sure they secretly like it so they tie people to their iPod products)
