Older? Are we talking about the same Enjolras?

It's the musical, not the book. And that's probably the way he appears to the audience.
You can't force every theatre goer to read the brick. And there's no reason why they should know that E is all blond and adorable and looks like a teenager. Of course it is not a requirement (18 year olds are called to audition) but it makes sense for the actor playing him look older than Marius.

And anyway, brick Enjolras IS older than Marius.
