Les Miz De-Virginizing Tomorrow

I'm going to see the national tour of Les Miz tomorrow night! I've seen the dramatic movie with Uma Thurman...Does Anyone know if I will truly love it? I'm a huge tehater fan, but I've never found the time to go see Les Mis...I am a disgrace! So Any comments on it before I see it?

Okay I have two comments.

1. You may want to read the synopsis of the show before you actually see it. When I saw the show I had absolutely no idea was going on because I didn't have time to read the program. Although that might have something to do with the fact that I couldn't hear...

2. The movie is VERY different from the musical. As to which one is more accurate...the musical is more faithful to the book. Another reason to read the synopsis because the difference may be confusing.

3. Enjoy the show! You won't be disappointed. Wink

Just forget you saw the movie, although it isn't bad on its own. It's just a bad representation of the novel.

You may want to check these out after you see the show. Plenty before and plenty after have tried to film the story: http://pontauchange.com/Media/index.html

That's what I'm still trying to do, several years later. *sigh*

Hello

I HATED the movie, because it took some MAJOR liberties in the adaptation. As a matter of fact i hated it so much, i can't objectively judge it on its own.

You will love the musical. I know i am very biased, but very few people i know didn't like it (actually none outside the Internet).

i saw it and it was FANTASTIC!.
Times I cried:
I Dreamed a Dream.
ON MY OWN!!! [Right now my love situation is the same as Eponine. It was really easy to sympathize. I was BALLLLLLING!]
When Eponine dies.
WHEN GAVROCHE DIED!!! I was Whimpering aloud.
When Jean Valjean died!

I LOVED IT> IT IS NOW ONE OF MY FAVORITE MUSICALS!

PS. The Jean Valjean was stupendous....he belted the last note full out on 2...4...6...0....1!!!!!!IT WAS REALLLLLLLY GOOD!!!

Hmm, X-rated behavior in the audience. That's one way to deal with it.

It's one of the movies you won't forget about... certainly not because of it extraordinary values.
