Marius/Valjean

A thought just hit me, and I figured if anyone knew the answer it would be one of you guys here. Now that Hugh Panaro has been cast as Valjean in Walnut Street's production, is he the only actor to have played both Marius & Valjean? I was checking the listings for the Broadway production on BroadwayLesMis.com and found no cross-overs, but did that ever happen on the US Tour or in London?
Tenalto

I want to say that Michael Ball has played Marius and Valjean, but don't quote me on that.

Mike Sterling (London) and Ron Sharpe (3nt Marius; Broadway understudy Valjean) come to mind.

He's played Valjean in concert.

I saw the subject line and almost choked on my tea. Don't do that to me.

^ Me too! Except it was apple juice, not tea.

Laughing

Good Lord.

I can't add to this conversation, but the first thing I thought when I saw this thread was, what an odd pairing!

EDIT: And apparently LML and OF posted at the same time as I did with funnier jokes. So I'm cool. Oh yeah. Cool

Laughing OK, I swear I did not have *that* in mind when writing that title! Oh thanks! Now that's an image I won't be able to get out of my head!

My first reaction Shocked "Don't tell me they found "subtext" again"
Mistress

Hehehe...I think Cosette would be very pissed if she found out her boyfriend was having "subtext" with her foster father... Laughing

Um... about eight cups a day. It's my little addiction.

The hilarious part is that I've had something similar to that in the Mizzies plan file since...January? LOL.

You know, ever since Hugh auditioned for this, I kept thinking, "Oh god, he's going to be playing his own father-in-law and his ex-wife's foster father."

The Les Miz family tree is pretty tangled.

How about Colm and Rebecca Caine?

Actually, when I first saw "Hey, Mr. Producer" I thought Lisa Vroman looked a bit like Ruthie Henshall, some kind of brunette Fantine, so when I saw Michael Ball and Colm Wilkinson fighting for her love, I looked a lot like this: Shocked
