I mean this in all sincerity, I'm not making fun of you as I don't know the answer; do you have a hearing or speech problem?
A lot of the time when you sing, your pronunciations sound similar to a deaf persons. You're also frequently flat or off key or even changing keys within the same verse. It's a brave effort but needs a lot of work on it. Perhaps get someone with a more musical ear to sing along with you a few times to pull you into key and to be honest with you about your singing. Break the song into small manageable sections and practice practice practice! |

I agree -- there's definitely a deaf accent in there. (I've heard my share of them.) |

My thoughts exactly. And even if you don't have any kind of speech problem, OMO is a hard song to sing. In my theatre group there were just a handful of girls that the lady running it would let sing LM solo's in front of an auidence. It used to annoy me at the time but she was doing us a big favour really. They're difficult numbers. |

Are you... a man? a drunk man? a drunk cross-dressing man, perhaps? That's what I hear. | ||||

You sound like a deranged Frances Rufelle.
I didn't like it at all. |

Sorry but even if you had a cold, that doesn't seem like it would make you sing THAT badly. And why on Earth would you want other people to hear you sing when you had a cold anyway? Colds make people sound awful. |

Keep workin' on it and I'm sure you'll improve.

Can I ask how old you are?
You need quite a lot of work on your diction and you definately have a lot of pitch problems. Also there was no heart in your voice, when you sing you should mean what you are singing. If you are considering singing in Musical theatre or as a career choice I recommend finding a singing coach, you'ld be surprised how much you will learn. Good Luck and don't feel bad because of what we say. Only strangers will be brutally honest and now you know what you need to work on! |

To tell you the truth, it wasn't really good...sorry
A proffesional singer needs to practice a lot, to improve it's vocal skills (I know something about it: I was singing for two years in a school choir). You might try practicing for some time before you start to sing again. |

Rather than be rude like some people, I'm going to do the proper thing and point out a few weak points.
For starters, don't sing when you're sick unless you have to. It's not good for you. Also, if your voice isn't exquisite, just get good at projecting emotion. My favorite Eponines are the ones who conveyed emotion, not the ones with pretty singing voices. |

Very good point, can we stick to constructive criticism please? |

I agree. None of the rude comments were funny or useful or smart. |

Be proud of yourself, half the people on musicals.net wouldnt be brave enough to post a clip of them singing on here. I understand if you were sick, but i agree with some of the others that you need some work. A good voice teacher can really help a lot.
There are some things i'd work on if i were you. Diction, diction diction. Also you were kind of pitchy. When people ask about singing i always try to stress this, dont sing from your throat, sing from your belly . It sounds much nicer, and doesent harm your voice as much. Overall, try to put some feeling into the song, you know what i mean? |
