More Videos from a School Edition

I took a peek at YouTube and realized that someone had posted a few videos from the School Edition I was in back in January. I personally think the show was pretty good, but then, I'm biased. Very Happy

Here we go...
"I Dreamed a Dream"
"A Little Fall of Rain"
"One Day More"
"Castle on a Cloud"
ABC Cafe
"A Heart Full of Love"
"Finale"

I was in the ensemble, by the way.
Opinions?

Awh. No comments or criticisms?

I listened to One Day More.

I really really didn't like your Javert. But the ensemble as a was really good.

I loved your Eponine's voice. And the Thernardier's too! They sounded..scoundrely.

The costumes were a bit off though. Were there really sweater vests in 19th century France? Probably not... lol

Somebody was wearing a sweater vest...?
I didn't even know. Laughing

Our Javert was sort of hit or miss. Some nights he was pretty good. Others he was just ugh.

I think almost all of the principles had very strong singing. Javert did seem a bit off to me. Valjean was a good singer, but sounded a bit young. Enjolras had a strong voice but he seemed flat in a few notes of One Day More--maybe that's just me. Little Cosette was good, but I have this peeve when people belt CoaC. Why did they change the melody, though? That's kind of weird. I loved the Thenardiers!

Good production, though. A lot of talent!

Unavoidable I suppose when Valjean is seventeen, but he looked really old. My dad kept asking me if he really was old.

I have no idea, but I didn't much like her rendition of "Castle on a Cloud," either. I think she sounds like she should be singing "Tomorrow" Rolling Eyes

-swells with pride-
Thanks.

I only watched One Day More because that kinda just sums up the whole production usually.

Let me just say Javert was TERRIBLE.
But moving on...

Overall, it was pretty good. Valjean needs to get out of his nose a little bit. But he had a good higher register. Marius was good except he probably didn't need to belt everything. Eponine was wonderful. Cosette was decent. Ensemble was great. Enjolras was good. Better than the one when I was in the show... but his flaw was he was a little bit shouty. He was shouting to hit the notes. But I'm over that.

Costumes were not good. But it's no biggy, I suppose.

Overall, pretty dang good.
