Whoops, too late.Bummer. Off to the poles, as it were...Don't hate on newbies, Fantine. Me personally, this is my first post on this particular forum, but it's just because I've been in the market for a new forum ever since they closed down my previous love "Le Cafe"... but I've been a LM fan for more than eight years now, and I've been forumming (that's a word, so there) for six. Wait... was the post "-1 Cosette, +1 Eponine"? Cos if that's the case, hate on that all you want. Apologies. |

Ugh, apologies. I was under the influence of several kinds of medicine at the time of posting. Had I had my wits about me, I would have realized that a) this topic need not be brought back, and b) that post makes me a total hypocrite because I hate Eponine fangirls... and hate ON them, sometimes...

I like her. I don't mind if you dislike her, though. She does give you that feeling of distaste in the book I'll admit, but she always ended up being my favorite regardless. We all have our opinion, and I respect yours. | ||||

Haha, welcome to the world of MdN, sector Les Miserables. For the most part, we are a bunch of hardcore Les Mis fans whose least favorite part of the fandom is the mass of plot-twisting, Cosette-hating, squeeing Eponine fangirls. However, judging from your few posts here, it doesn't seem like you are one of them. The fact that you've read the book is a step in the right direction, and I, personally, am okay with the fact that you seem to be knowledgeable about Les Mis but still appreciate Eponine. Oh hey, sorry. Regarding my previous post, I have to agree with curlyheadedsoprano and say we do get a lot of Eponine fangirls around here, and bumping up an ancient elimination game seems to be one of the traits. It's perefectly fine that Eponine is your favourite character, and you want to take part and everything, it's just this game was dead a while back and it seems a bit pointless to drag it up again. But hey, you're new here, and you don't really know how people work, so sorry for reacting like that.

Don't worry, EponineThenardier. Once you hang around here more you'll learn a lot about Les Mis and Eponine's character. And it's totally possible to have Eponine as your favorite character and still be (at least somewhat) respected! I'm not an Eppy-bopper, but Eponine is still my favorite character. Non-bopper Eponine fans are actually kind of hard to find. We should unite and make a club or something.

Hi, EponineThenardier. You will actually find that the �ponine that most people like here is precisely book!Eponine. As for myself, I find that book!Eponine is an awesome character and I like musical!�ponine too (although not nearly as much as book eponine). It's perfectly ok for anyone to like any character. The only problem with your post is that you made it sound rather eppy-bopperish, and eppy-bopperish attitudes (of the kind: "she is soo cool and cosette is soo boring,I don't undersand why marius wasn't in love with her" tend to cause violent alergic reactions around here.
