Someone agree how funny it was that they went out of their way to cut Cosette's parts!

Ok, not like that, but it seemed like that. like how the whole family hates meg in family guy.

I totally agree. Why couldn't they at least give Cosette her full first verse in "In My Life"? They could have probably made time for it if they'd cut a little more of "Turning" than they did.

The cuts felt like they were arranged by an Eppybopper/Cosette-basher who possibly also writes barricade angstfics.

Yeah for the most part the horrid Student Edition is cut better than this one.

yayy!!!! i got to see this at the dress rehearsal!!

the show was overall amazing, but these performances really stood out for me:

melora hardin's IDAD. omg. the overwhelming emotion in this was truly touching. her rendition of this song is wat turned my dad onto les miz.

brian stokes mitchell as javert. my favorite part was where he pointed out different stars in the song of the same name and spoke to them individually. that was a nice touch!

the little girl who was little cosette. there was something really special about her performance... maybe its that her voice was sweet and melodic, but she didn't "over do it" as some little cosettes do.

lea michele's OMO was good, but i felt she modernized it a bit much.

im so happy i got to see this!!! i also got my picture with Brian Stokes Mitchell and John Loyd Young. I'd post them if i knew how...

Just found the clips.

Brian as Javert- Theatregasmic.

Melora as Fantine- Eh. Heard better, heard worse. Wasn't too keen on her belt

Lea as Eponine- Kinda whiny. Not my favorite.

John as Marius- Marry me.

J. Mark as Valjean- Up there with Hugh Panaro with his "Bring Him Home" (By the bragging way...I saw Panaro LIVE as Valjean in Philly. Haha.)

I really liked Lea as Eponine. I thought her voice was perfect for the part, and her acting has gotten a bit better since i saw her in Spring Awakening. If you could blend her voice with Celia Keenan Bolger's acting ability, you would have the perfect Eponine.

Melora sounds alright... her acting seemed a bit weird.

J Mark... seems like the strongest of the cast... beautiful voice and really seems to connect with the character.

John Llyod Young was as vanilla as you can get with Marius... bland, bland, bland.

Michelle Maika: can't tell... not many videos of her performance... apparent;y she wasn't given very much to do.

Brian: I just don't like his voice... don't stone me to death, but I am not a huge fan.

I love Kevin Earley's voice. And it seems now a bunch of former Marius' and Enjolras' will try to upgrade themselves to Valjean in some regional production. Rolling Eyes

Weird... he was supposed to be Valjean at Moonlight in Vista... but apparently, he dropped so he could do Tale of Two Cities. They replaced him with Danny Gurwin (Little Women).

I wonder why I didn't know this.
