should I bother buying the vocal selections songbook?

I have recently really gotten into Les Miserables, especially I Dreamed A Dream, Come To Me, and One Day More. I really want to do a few sogs in my singing lessons, but seeing as the vocal selections songbook (this if you don't know http://www.amazon.com/Miserables-Vocal-Selections-Alain-Boublil/dp/0881885770)
But seeing as theres only a selected amount of songs, should I bother? Is it worth it? a few of my favourite soings are not on there, and I could just get a cast recording with all the songs, without the music.
I'm in a bit of a pickle, so what do you guys think? Have you got the songbook? Is it worth it? Are there any other ones with all the songs on there?

Thanks a lot!

I have that book.

It's nice and contains the "important" songs. You won't find anything more complete than this because sheet music has not been released for other songs as far as I know.

See if you can find the 10th anniversary version--it's got a grayish cover with a big picture of the One Day More pose on the front, and should be labeled something like "Les Miserables in concert - vocal selections." It has a much more complete song list:

At the End of the Day
Bring Him Home
Castle on a Cloud
Come to Me
Do You Hear the People Sing?
Empty Chairs at Empty Tables
A Heart Full of Love
I Dreamed a Dream
Little People
Look Down
Lovely Ladies
On My Own
One Day More
Thnardier Waltz of Treachery
What Have I Done?

It's a tad hard to find, but it pops up now and then on ebay, and some sheet music stores carry it.

Edit: Ahh, that would be this one.

Hehe Razz

I hate it when that happens. I happened to me yesterday. I paid a total of 35 euro's for a couple of DVD's which I could actually have gotten for only 20 euro's. It sucks. Nothing you can do about it though.

When my friend bought jeans, and she saw them in another shop for cheaper, (almost the exact same design) she just took the others bacdk sayibng "they're just not me"
And they let her!

I bought the PRC for over $70 on eBay, because a) it was going cheapest I'd ever seen and b) some jerk came in and jacked up the price there at the end. And now I find out you can get it on iTunes...

That's pretty shady.

But not as shady as people who buy big screen plasma tvs the friday of Super Bowl weekend, and then returning them on Monday. lol

AUGHAAA! (Sometimes I actually transcribe the noises I make...)

I just now clicked on that link, and I MUST have this book ! It has Lovely Ladies and Waltz of Treachery and Little People ! But will that mean I'm being unfaithful to the book I've had since sixth grade ? ...yes, I have thoughts like that OFTEN.

...Ahh, who cares I need it...
