Come on, Fantine, for all you know he might find this fun to do. Some of these eliminations games can be quite fun, but that is usually because of many people joining.
I don't think an elimination game will work here on the Les Mis forum though, but we've had some fun eliminations on other forums.

Thank you so much for saying it before me, Fantine.
There was a thread just like this about, oh, two months ago. It was started by someone who never actually posts here and all the people who do actually post here (including me) got angry and much capslock swearing ensued and then no one was happy.
These threads are useless and terrible in general, but even worse with a show with as many songs as Les Mis.
Also, to the OP: you'll find a handy search bar in the top right-hand corner of your screen with the option to only search musicals.net. Please use it before you start another topic in the future. Thanks.

Here's the thing about elimination games. They're kind of fun the first time around, which is why so many n00bs play them.
Then you discover the elimination game boosts your post count, and you start posting furiously to it, and then someone gets on at the same time as a friend and they eliminate your favorite character/song and put their own at the top of the list by back-and-forthing for half an hour, and you get mad and try to eliminate their favorite character/song out of spite, and drama ensues, and all the forum regulars are starting to get really pissed off that the stupid useless elimination game gets way more traffic than any of the useful threads, and even more pissed off that it's bringing drama and n00bs with inflated post counts, and then most people conclude that elimination games are a Bad Idea...
...until the next n00b comes along and starts one. Cue universal roar of anger and disapproval from anyone who's ever seen this shit go down before. But there are always enough n00bs who don't know any better who blithely play along, keep the game going, and perpetuate the cycle, much to everyone else's annoyance.
The moral of this story: Do not be the n00b who keeps the elimination game going. It's not like we won't know your huge post count comes from spamming the board.

Couldn't have put it better myself!  very nice! lol i've been watching this thread for a while now, and i think for shows like wicked, that aren't completely sungthru, it's fine, but when there's over 40 songs, it's a waste of time to post these threads, imo

Wow never have I seen such a uproar over an elimination game. Although I agree on some forums they work. Kinda. There just you know kinda fuin. Like the Rent one no biggie. Although how in lords name I'll cover you reprise is on top since that is one of my least favorite songs. But on a Les Mies board where most of the members are well known and all. The Les Mies forum is it's own little world in a way. Which I just adore.

Lol. Sorry I've never heard of the whole pissing in cheerios thing. No no I agree. I really do. I was just saying I've never seen such a strong reaction. It's as if someone had just volentered to set you all on fire. Or said okey lets all reanact the barricade scenes. Oh yeah and it's realistic So who wants to be the Barricade boys! Lol
