TAC younger performers

Does anyone know how old Hannah Chick and Adam Searles were when they performed in the TAC?

He was soo tiny!

He even played Gavroche a year or two later when the UK tour came near his hometown.

I have a friend with whom I was cast in the musical Dames At Sea at my high school who is fifteen and five foot three and a half. I'm four eleven, but I'm seventeen...(not the point...) but his voice is almost as high as mine. I was so amazed. He has this high soprano voice and this tiny body, but he's a regular fifteen year old boy. Immature...perverted...and yes, adorable.

I love Adam Searls
The Road

Yea, my friend's 16 and his voice is just beginning to change.

I'm sure I read somewhere that he was from London anyway... Confused

Most boys I know voices broke when they were 12 or 13. My friend who is 14 (and played Gavroche in a SE) voice is starting the break now, and he has literally less than one octave in range. The singing teacher in school was going mad trying to transpose his exam songs to a suitable key!

Adam was 14 (TAC) and finished with Gavroche all together at 16 (I think).

Urghh, I'm special

Haha, I am such a man. Hey I found out this amazing fact the other day. Male Soprano's, after their voice has broken usually become Basses while Male Alto's generally become baritones/tenors, weird huh? Confused

I've heard from someone who worked with Searles on the UK tour that he had a medical problem, I think it may have been related to the kidney (?), which stunted his growth. Apparently that has now been remedied, and he today stands over a head taller than the person in question. Very Happy However, I've been told that the transition into maturity had a detrimental effect on Searles' singing voice, although he remains an avid musician. Sad

Please note, this is all word-of-mouth from a cast member of the UK tour, so I don't claim it as fact.
