thoughts on san fran tour (i know it was a while back)

For all you in the bay area (or who are obsessed enough to fly out and see Les Mis in SF) what were thoughts on the tour? My friends who I was with claimed it was the greatest Les Mis they had ever seen, but I thought there were some little things that were iffy. Valjean was wonderful. I liked Eponine a lot, but she was quite busty for the part; then again why wouldn't eponine be. Enjolras had a beautiful voice but a dead expression in his eyes, which killed it. Cosette was asian which made me happy simply because of the multi racial aura of Les Mis.

What are other thoughts out there?
The Very Angry Woman

I saw the tour 12 times in San Francisco. I do think this cast was one of the most enjoyable and cohesive I've ever had the pleasure of seeing.

I don't generally base my opinion of a character based on their breast size if it has no bearing on the story, but it never occurred to me that Melissa was "busty." (Did you ever see Diana Kaarina?)

Nina Negri is the Asian Cosette you saw. I saw all three Cosettes -- her, Ashley Fox Linton, and the regular, Leslie Henstock, who was sick for most of the run. Nina was incredible and had a very smart, mature take on the role. And I loved her voice.

It was an adventure to watch Michael Halling grow from generic to phenomenal, but I see what you mean about his eyes.

I saw Nina too! Yes, she is, by far, my favorite Cosette. She looked Latina. I don't think she is Asian.

I'm very sure she's half Korean. A lot of people who are mixed Asian look Latina/o.
