Which Les Mis Piano Sheet Music Book To Buy??I checked the Piano/Vocal book out from the library and like it enough to purchase. However, Come To Me is definitely my favorite song from Les Mis and I know it's in the "Les Misrables in Concert - Vocal Selections Songbook". I can get it off Amazon but I don't know if it's any good.
If anyone has it, can you tell me if it's more or less difficult than the Piano/Vocal one? Also, what does it mean by Vocal Selections? I'm assuming it would have the grand staff with the piano line and then the vocal lines above it like most sheet music. They release so many versions of sheet music that I never know which one to buy. Is it worth it to spend $17.95 on the Vocal Selections one just for my favorite song? There's a list of songs it includes and some of them appear in both books. Are they the same version??
Any advice, suggestions, facts, and information is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

It's the same difficulty. The difference between them is the songs, which you can look up online.

Half the songs in the TAC-covered piano book are completely identical to songs in the regular Piano/Vocal book. I'd say the TAC one is a better buy because it includes more songs, but it doesn't have Stars (which is mega fun to play) or Drink With Me. Or... In My Life, right? I don't know. I bought them both AND got the full score.

I've got the P/V one that's available, with pictures in the front, the full score (Which is only stored in digital form, and is never leaving my PC), and I'm hoping to purchase the TAC one quite soon.

I encourage you to purchase the TAC one, I bought it and it's quite enjoyable to learn.

It's great, last time I was in my local music shop (I practically live there) I saw it! So that's probably what I'm spending the $50 voucher that's been burning my wallet since my birthday in September on.

I got the Piano/Vocal one for my tenth birthday (so... ten years ago. Wow.) and would spend, like, half an hour trying to get through one song. Because I wouldn't quit trying I eventually got pretty good at playing songs at that level or whatever, and after a couple of years found I could sightread from all of my (many, many) piano/vocal scores. However, the good old Les Mis book was broken at the spine and a few pages were falling out due to overuse, so last year when I found the TAC one online (Lovely Ladies omg!) I didn't hesitate to buy it. I prefer those books to the score, actually, for the most part. Though the score is fun because you can do things like Fantine's Arrest and whatnot.

I agree, with the score you can play songs that weren't released into a book. However, one would have to do a bit of arranging since a lot of the time the piano line is just supporting the vocal/melodic line. I probably wouldn't recognize what song was being played if someone just played the piano part.

Nah, if you follow the bottom two staves and sometimes pick up one of the upper ones in the right hand you're usually golden. Because though I may have called it a "piano" score, the score I have is actually a "conductor's" score, thus follows the recognisable tunes.

The one I Have is the Full Score, not a Piano Conductor or a short score. I was following the trumpet parts through, and playing along. Bit of fun

My score must be only the piano-conductor then. It shows the vocal lines and then the grand staff. Any idea on how I can get the full score?

I've been playing through with the TAC on the Trumpet 1 part, which is a bit of fun; A good workout!
