Young Cosette / Young Eponine

how long do these roles last in the school edition? I'm auditioning in 2 weeks.. I don't want a lead part but I would like a good fair amount of lines. I've been practicing "Castle on a Cloud". "On My Own" is performed by the adult or child? Thanks!
Mademoiselle Lanoire

In the School edition, all actors are supposed to be under 19. And the character is a teenager.

Young Cosette gets a handful of scenes in the first act. Young Eponine is only on stage for a moment and doesn't have any lines.
Aimee

On My Own is performed by the older Eponine. Young Eponine doesn't sing anything at all and as a role is very small, whereas young Cosette gets the solo, some other little bits to sing and some good acting in two scenes. [I'm not exactlysure what as the SE varies from the show].

I'm sure you'd be in some of the ensembles too if you got either role.
BriZanna

thank you, Mademoiselle Lanoire! I appreciate your help Very Happy

I don't believe any of the scenes with the little girls are shortened.

Aimee, big help too!! Wink

Like some other people said, Young Eponine is on for such a short time and has no lines or songs. Young Costte sings "Castle on a Cloud" and is in the scene after that song with Mme. Thenardier and she is also in "The Bargain." Hope this helps!

by the way

I'm also in a wheelchair but I can sing & move around stage, is there any dancing? Here is my resum: Edit, The mods have removed the picture as it has your full name on it. I hope you don't mind but the mods suggest that you black that out too before reposting it. Cheers Aimee. Smile

No dancing. Little Cosette spends most of Castle on a Cloud doing housework in the inn--sweeping, cleaning the tables, or scrubbing the floor, depending on the production. There's a scene where Valjean picks her up and twirls her around, but if that would be a problem I'm sure the twirling can be omitted.

By the way, you might want to black out your last name on your resume before you post it online.

Especially when it's a name that easy to Google.

No, no, nothing of the sort. It's just a bad idea to leave your first and last name lying around the internet--if I wanted to, I could look up the information you blacked out, as well as your address, parents' names and occupations, and what school you go to.

Definitely not. What you did do was put yourself temporarily on offer to internet weirdos. Hope you learnt a lesson!

Thank y'all for being ssooo very nice! I'm always worrying I might offend somebody, I have gotten banned once before and I wrote something that was misread and I liked the forum but no hard feelings because I could see their side but w/e.

I actually have many things on the internet about me because I was in Parade Magazine & I'm the ambassador for Jerry Lewis' Muscular Dystrophy Association. Would it be ok with the mods if I posted the article? I will understand if you say no. Just glad I have people who helps "protect" me. lol

Musicals.Net is a great forum!!!

You are free to post things that do not break the rules of M.net.

Us moderators are always ultra-cautious about using personal details online especially as this site has known its share of psychopathic trolls before (I kid you not!) including one resourceful individual who stalked the owner of the site after he was banned and rang her at home.

If you are happy and understand that such behaviour could be the sad reality of posting personal details online then by all means but I advise exercising great caution. Your name (I seem to recall) was very unique and indeed I googled it to check what other site members had said and came up with a lot of results.
BriZanna

Thanks again for caring about your people on the message board! I'll be more cautious Wink
