Your set designs? When you did Les Miserables (schools Editions), what was the set like?
For ours, It was all black. Black backdrop and black wings. However, there was a pair of curtains half-way up the stage, effecitvly giving 2 seperate "areas" when the curatins were closed.
These "curtains" were torn, burnt, blooded french flags hanging vertically.
We also had 3 trap-doors and gauzes on the stage, allowing "smoke/dried ice" to seep through every crevice in the set.
When the baricade was to be built, more of these flags flew in and peculiar angles. We then "built the barricade" using chairs, tables etc
It sounds a bit tacky, having flags hung everywhere, but they wer etattered, ripped, burnt and blood soaked. Weird!
