I love that Look Down one! So rare for a pic of that scene to be included in the brochures. Sorry for the crappy quality though, but the brochure was kinda worn and had water damage.
The Very Angry Woman |
Nice; I don't think I've seen that picture of Alice Ripley before.
(A bit too much "Dust & Scratches" filter, I think!) |
||||||||
Quique |
Yikes! Yes, I confess I overused that filter. Damn, you're good, but then again, I shouldn't expect any less from a graphic designer. XD I'll try scanning it again later. |
||||||||
The Very Angry Woman |
Haha. I wasn't actually sure if it was your doing or someone at Dewynters getting overzealous with a relatively brand-new Adobe product.
curlyhairedsoprano91 |
Hahaha! Keith Burns ... TAC Montparnasse, yeh? |
||||||||
The Very Angry Woman |
That'd be him. Also known as Fake Vietnamese. |

Do some Googling. |

Timmy_Wishes he was Quast |
Constable on the left...has he really been with the show THAT long?
EDIT: Still at least he got a promotion...from Constable...to Detective. *beats this clue over his own head* |
||||||||
curlyhairedsoprano91 |
Mehhh I still don't get it. *apologizes for being slow*
Orestes Fasting |
It's all right, I don't either. I'll probably want to smack myself when somebody finally comes out and says who it is. (Hint, hint.)
Quique |
It's Michael McCarthy. Younger fans probably haven't heard of him, but he's done the role of Javert God-knows how many times and in how many cities. He played the role in the final Broadway performance, as well. |
||||||||
curlyhairedsoprano91 |
Ahahaha I never would have guessed.
I have heard of him, but because he was the Foreman on the TAC. I probably wouldn't have recognized him without the ridiculous facial hair. |
||||||||
Orestes Fasting |
...OH DEAR GOD IT IS.
*smacks self* |
||||||||
mastachen |
I would never have guessed. lol
Quique |
Hehe, he was featured as "Factory Foreman/Combeferre" at the time.

That was predictable. YAY FOR PARNASSE! |

I am predictable. | ||||||||

^ I knew you'd like that one.
Original Australian production: Most of you have probably already seen these, as I got them off the net. I'm uncertain about the identity of some of the cast members, so I'll just list the ones I know for sure... Enjolras - Anthony Warlow Marius - Simon Burke/Peter Cousens Eponine - Sylvie Paladino Mme. Thenardier - Robyn Arthur |
||||||||
lesmisloony |
That ALFOR Marius looks like a woman to me...
EponineMNFF |
AGREED. I saw that and like flailed. |
||||||||
lesmisloony |
THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT I DID. And I yelled out a word I don't usually tend to say... |
||||||||
EponineMNFF |
Aahh! I had been so distracted by the Montparnasse picture that I completely missed the ADORABLENESS that is this photo. So cute! |

What's sad is... the first thing I thought when I saw that picture was, "Wonder who got to take home the ginormous posters on the side of that building?"
And then I noticed the little flag-banner thing of the streetlight, and I was like, "Well, if I couldn't have the giant poster, I'd TOTALLY settle for that one..." |
||||||||
Quique |
Ohhh, I'd kill for one of those gigantic posters. I ripped a poster-sized Les Mis ad from a newspaper stand once, lol.
Theater des Westens, Berlin - 2003. |
||||||||
lesmisloony |
See, you just know SOMEONE has some of those flags... and they'll turn up on eBay for, like, over a hundred bucks... and I'll stare at the picture for ages and wish I could have one...
Like that LM beach towel that keeps surfacing. It's always going for about eighty dollars, but darned if I don't want that thing... I mean, I don't *need* it, of course, but but but it's ~Les Mis~! on a beach towel! See? |
||||||||
Quique |
I haven't checked ebay in like forever, and I think it's because I know I'll go purchase crazy, lol.
I took the following pics back in the day... Pantages Theatre, Los Angeles - 3rd national tour, 1992. Terrace Theatre, Long Beach, CA - 3rd national tour, 1995. At the loading dock. Amazing that the whole show is contained in those 8 trucks. Watching the crew load the set in. |

||||||||
Quique |
Amazing pics! Especially the 1st NT ones.
You take really good care of your souvenir brochures. Mine are all jacked-up, lol. Beautiful, clean scans, too. Is that Craig Schulman there in the background of the 1st NT "Attack On Rue Plumet" pic? Donna Kane's Fantine is so pretty. Best pics of her I've seen yet. In fact, the only ones I've seen of her before were on the official website back during the old Le Cafe days, and those were of awful quality. Nice to finally see great pics of her Fantine. Aren't the above pics from the Broadway production? I can tell by the look of the barricade and I don't think Evalyn Baron, Lacey Chabert, Jennifer Lee Andrews, and Drew Eshelman ever did the 3rd NT. Gorgeous pics. Thanks so much for sharing them. =) |
||||||||
The Very Angry Woman |
Yep!
I don't think so, unless they were using those as "generic" Les Miz photos, but they were in the middle of the brochure. |
||||||||
lesmisloony |
And now... I shall be predictable.
Mustache!! |

I'm not entirely sure what to say about Colm...but Michael looks so cute in that picture. |
||||||||

Michael reminds me of Matthew Morrison.
Fantine |
Ha! I did see that it was him and I'd like to say that that is a lovely picture. |
||||||||
curlyhairedsoprano91 |
My thoughts exactly .... awww! |
||||||||
Fantine |
Okay, here are some of my sketch images. I dunno if these are rare or whatever or if they are originals, but they're fun to look at.
My favorite Cosette drawing: Marius and Cosette: Eponine and Azelma: Awesomeness: Valjean and Montparnasse: My favorite Fantine sketch: More coming soon. |
||||||||
bigR |
O.K., last post I will leave and do some work! Trust me, Fantine was as blond as she should be in Madrid. That's just an effect of the light. Are you sure gema castao was that young? (i think it was margarita marbn-ponine who was 19), but in anycase gema she was great as Fantine. Probably my favourite ever. |
||||||||
lesmisloony |
FANTINE!
Those are AMAZING! (cough-especially the monty one-cough) Thank you SO MUCH for putting them up! |
||||||||
Mistress |
That picture of Michael McCarthy makes him looking like a little kid trying to be intimidating.
Timmy_Wishes he was Quast |
It's actually one of my fav pics of the talented Mr McCarthy!
lesmisloony |
More sketch times.
Gavroche and his boys: Gavroche copping it: A different Young Cosette picture: Javert: Field of the Lark: Very small, poor quality, supposedly Patron-Minette escaping some place: And I think that's my whole stock. |
||||||||
Quique |
I'm pretty sure she was only 19, though her voice sounds incredibly mature. She is also one of my fave foreign Fantines. Gorgeous voice and very passionate. I'm also pretty sure her wig was red. I have another pic of her posing with the cast in costume and her hair is unmistakably red. I'll post it when I find it. |
||||||||
Fantine |
Thanks! I have some more, I'll try to upload them tonight. |
||||||||
bigR |
Maybe she was 19 then. It's funny! She seemed such a grown-up woman to me when I met her... ( but it probably was because I was too young). About her hair, though, I am absolutely certain it was blond, since I went to see the show 5 times It's just the weird lighting. If I remember right I should have a rather sexy pic of her while she was getting dressed backstage. I just need some days to go through all the stuff I left at my parents. I'm pretty sure I did not throw anything away. |
||||||||
Quique |
Hmmm, maybe they started out using a red wig and then changed it to a blonde one? Who knows?
Fantine |
Here's more:
Fantine: Fantine, Favourite, Dahlia and Josephine: Cosette and Marius: A rather more "ugly" picture of Fantine: Montreuil-Sur-Mer. Those of you who have been there will recognise this street: |
||||||||
lesmisloony |
How lovely! And, I must add, I adore your new icon. I do so love the Book sketch things... I want a copy that has them.
Hmm, the title of this topic *is* RANDOM pictures, right? Because I found this hilarious thing on deviantart... By someone called "chaoskomori," just so you know. I love it. And then I found THIS, which made my brain explode. (in... a kind of good way?) It's from "DostoevskysMouse," which is a name I seem to recognise from somewhere... WTF WTF WTF MONTPARNASSE/JAVERT. (It's a beautiful picture, and Monty looks AMAZING, but... *convulses* |

Timmy! Where is your innocence?!
Mistress |
Wow...and I thought my friends were little too interested in boylove...actually, a couple are pretty bad, they go for the straight porno stuff. But wow...somehow that picture diusturbs me slightly...but maybe it's just because Javert is in it...*shudder*...Montparnesse isn't so bad though, I guess I'm just used to seeing/hearing about him being put into slashy stories.
Quique |
That pic might've been hawt if the two in the sketch did not resemble 13 year olds.
Fantine |
True...
Jeff Leyton & Philip Quast: Interesting... Michael Maguire Sexy Marius, angsty Cosette: |
||||||||
lesmisloony |
LOL is he practising? |
||||||||
curlyhairedsoprano91 |
QUAST!!!!!!! *fangirl moment*
Teehee. This has always been a favorite of mine. Maguire is ... hot. Really, really hot.
Oh good. I like this. |
||||||||
Fantine |
If I remember correctly, this photo is from the same series as those with Vera Bolten. The German cast having some fun in costume, behind the scenes. |
||||||||
Fantine |
More artworkI discovered these in my 'Eponine' folder. (Yeah that sounds sad). |
||||||||
lesmisloony |
Ooh! I like those!
Heh... I have plenty of "Eponine" folders... I have one for sketches and one for photos and one for fanfic... It's not sad, it's organised! |
||||||||
Fantine |
Hehe I have one for Fantine too (but that also has to do with my site). And for Cosette. At first I was planning on collecting ALL the images out there and make folders for every character and begin a database with all the actors... But there are just too many pics. I gave up soon enough. |
||||||||
curlyhairedsoprano91 |
Ahahaha, you guys... your organization makes me smile. And wish I had my own computer so that I could make LM folders.
Fantine |
You really shouldn't, it takes up waaaay too much space Especially with all the video and audio that comes with it |
||||||||
curlyhairedsoprano91 |
Totally worth it, Fantine ... totally worth it.
But seriously. These pictures are so awesome. If my mum wouldn't kill me, (which she would), I would totally print them all and wallpaper my room. Except mebbe for the Javert/Parnasse one. Such is the realm of the internet ... |
||||||||
Fantine |
Lol, I had once printed out several (well, a lot) images from a particular fandom (Final Fantasy VIII) and had them hanging on my wall... Let's just say that it's better for me to be living on my own now because I used to drive my parents crazy with all my obsessions! At some point they seriously suggested that I should go see a shrink.
curlyhairedsoprano91 |
Hahaha ... yes ... my walls are full of so much LM stuff ... my mum gets freaked out sometimes, I think.
lesmisloony |
LM stuff I can see from here (sitting in the corner under my lofted bed, facing the back wall):
LM clock LM mousepad the background and screensaver on my computer three DVD's (one of the musical, the Anthony Perkins one, and the Jean Gabin) a copy of the Book in English (Norman Denny) part II of the Book in French a defaced poster for the '98 movie that I found at work and destroyed with Sharpies If I were to turn around to see the rest of my dorm room... |
||||||||
Mistress |
He looks like he's doing the Captain Morgan pose Philip Quast...yummy picture (I think I've already begun fangirling him a little ) I found this neat pic of him: Here be the Quast pic, I just had to copy the link from another post of mine it was on...enjoy |
||||||||
curlyhairedsoprano91 |
*doesn't see promised Quastpic*
*whines* The repost of the Maguire pic made me smile, though. *shamelessly fangirls* But where's the Quastpic? |
||||||||
Mistress |
I juts put in my post right above you ...Hey, I didin't realize until now, but McGuire's ass looks really good in that picture
curlyhairedsoprano91 |
YAY!!!!!!!!
*QUASTLOVE* Teehee. I spent some time this morning watching "Brides of Christ" clips on YouTube. He's actually spectacularly gorgeous in that. And Mistress just put up a VERY nice Quastpic... |
||||||||
curlyhairedsoprano91 |
I know, right? And the rest of him... |
||||||||
lesmisloony |
THANK YOU FOR POINTING THIS OUT. I DIDN'T NOTICE EITHER. And now I feel all dirty. But happy. |
||||||||
Mistress |
It's okay, we can all be dirty together
curlyhairedsoprano91 |
I think I should feel dirtier than both of you, 'cause that was the first thing I noticed about that picture ... I just refrained from pointing it out on a public forum ...
But yeah. I kind of love it. |
||||||||
Orestes Fasting |
That would be Martin Pasching, who's also the Enjolras in my avatar. |
||||||||
lesmisloony |
Took the liberty to... fix the colours a little.
And... wait, did I crop it? Huh. Oh well. |
||||||||
curlyhairedsoprano91 |
I like this. I like his face, too, but I like this. Ahh. Michael Maguire. I. Like. |
||||||||
Mistress |
Who needs a head when you have a spectacularley sculpted ass to stare at? We should totally have a Best Butt contest between McGuire and Brad Pitt! |
||||||||
Orestes Fasting |
Aaron Lazar would win. (And no, he doesn't even need to be in the contest to win it. He's like the Chuck Norris of Enjolraic sexiness.) |
||||||||
curlyhairedsoprano91 |
When your head looks like this:
I can toooootally deal with having more than an ass in a picture. But I'm up for that contest, Mistress ... where do I vote? |
