So, I thought this deserved a bump to the top tonight as THIS performance illustrated pretty well how I came up with the term "Epicjolras". ---- hell. Very Happy I don't even have that much to write that hasn't been said before. It was just a reminder of why, among other things, I'm dreading cast change.
Eponines_Hat

Slightly irrelevant spamming - but I thought it should be posted somewhere that Passion tickets are fast selling out and many performances are sold out completely. Anyone who hasn't got a ticket yet, and wants one, I'd get in FAST!
pastaeater

OMG - thank you for this - I had no idea that they were going so fast! I'll get mine sorted!
Eppie-Sue

Hah, just be glad he's not appearing in King Lear then. Wink
riverdawn

New song up on the Blue Iron Co. website, and this time we get Thaxton singing. Smile
riverdawn

Oh, man!
BlueIronCo just twitted that because Drew Sarich is stuck in Vienna, David Thaxton is going to do a full set instead!

I cannot BELIEVE that I couldn't find anywhere to stay in London so I could see this. Crying or Very sad

I hope the rest of you all have an great time!

Arggh! Just saw that.

I wish I could be there too, but yes, have a great time, all of you!

This volcanic ash is really...Ughh.
Eppie-Sue

Sorry girls.
*is so not going to feel bad about living in London*

Mr. Green
BlueEyedGirl

Arh man, I'm jealous, but on the other hand I'm just happy if I can get from Copenhagen to London this thursday and see the show friday...
Eppie-Sue

Last night was great. From what I hear, the show before was already mental and epic and all that, but as I didn't see that (LO AND BEHOLD.), I'll leave that to the others. But the gig was great, and David's set was amazing.
riverdawn

Glad to hear you had a good time. Smile
PureDiamondLight

Haha David makes an AWESOME Bamatabois!!! Very Happy Very Happy That creepy laugh is brilliant. What I love about DT is you can tell he puts his all into every performance and really loves what he's doing. It comes through even in the Bamatabois audiotrack.

Btw, Eppie-Sue, in the second Bamatabois link, the video has been removed. Just so you know Smile

Ah well. Thanks.
Yeah, I wish there would have been a chance to see him as Bamatabois. He said he enjoyed that role "a pity it's about one minute long". With two weeks to go, I doubt there'll be a Bamatabois emergency.

Ah yes, speaking of two weeks to go... this is really, really, really good. I love it very much.
pastaeater

Don't think I can afford tickets for the 25th Anniversary Concert (even if David does turn out to be in it) but feeling more cheerful now as I have just got my tickets to se him in "Passion" at the Donmar.....and I'm sure he will be brilliant.
(Tickets selling out fast btw).
Eppie-Sue

F'cking HELL Thaxton.

That is all for now, please excuse me while I sit down to compose a sincere letter to anyone possibly involved in casting the concert. Tonight was phenomenal.

You were there? And yes, tonight was quite epic. Really quite the epic.

I don't know how it's going to work with old threads being deleted etc in the approaching blitz... but I love this one too much to let it die. So I'm commenting on it in the hope that it will be saved.
Sorry for the spam, people.
(But really, can you ever have too much Thaxton?)
Eppie-Sue

Ah. I regret naming this "fangirling" thread, it doesn't do it justice. The majority of the posts are anything but silly, I think, which is why I like it a lot. It's a lot of character discussion re: Enjolras that wasn't supposed to take over the Cast Change thread.
If you want to keep anything there, you have to save it yourself. Make screencaps. It'll be gone in a bit.

(That said, because this has been bumped anyway, AFAIK Passion rehearsals have started now.)

Never! Not until the Earth is free and even after that you still can't have too much.

Do you think he'll come back to Les Mis in the near future?

No.

I'm glad you commented on this thread to try & save it. I enjoyed reading through this thread when I was lurking here & now I'll need to have a look at all the videos linked on the first page here.. (I say "need to" like it's a bad thing but it's not at all)

Although I never saw David Thaxton in Les Miserables personally, from what I saw on Youtube he was great & I am now a fan Smile . So much so that I'm considering taking up my friends offer of a ticket for Passion now...

Oh, and yeah, you can never have too much Thaxton...

I'm trying to save this thread, but I don't know if I'll be able to get the whole thing in time. I'm working on it, though.

For easier archiving:

Thread: it-s-literally-got-everything-david-thaxton-fangirling__o_t__t_75769.html

Board: o_f__f_50__les-miserables.html

The archive pages redirect to the forum pages after a minute or two, but that should be enough time to do a File->Save Page As. And there are a lot more posts to a page in the archive format.

Oh my goodness, thank you so much.
